February 5th, 2015, 0400 Hours: NORAD detects a UFO entering Earth's atmosphere at Mach 30.
4 Minutes Later: Object appears to crash in the heart of Sudan.
10 Minutes Later: A Second UFO follows the same pattern, but crashes in rural Nebraska.
1 Minute Later: A NORAD officer calls the President to inform him of the situation.
10 Minutes Later: The President tells the FBI to send a team to investigate the Nebraska crash site.
3 Hours Later; 0721: The team never reports back.
END
You are an FBI agent or a CDC agent. You may have multiple characters, as long as you make sure that one isn't biased toward the other. As the story progresses, more organizations will get involved (WHO, UN Security Council, etc).
I will be GM, but I will also have a character. Two, actually. one is the head of the FBI, the other is a CDC team leader.

I'll make a reserve character, who doesn't get involved. Yet.
Name: Mark Tumann
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Agency: [CLASSIFIED - U.N. SECURITY COUNCIL EYES ONLY]
Role: Long-Range Combat Specialist
Background: (To be revealed as the story progresses.)
Skills: Good enough with a sniper to be terrifying. Very, very quiet. IQ of 147.
Flaws: Cannot punch worth a damn. Sucks at swimming. Has trouble being serious.

Go nuts. ACH, please stop being a backseat moderator with these - we can have as many RPs as one desires. They don't all need to survive.

by Professor Fenway
Name: Gordon Javron
Gender: Male
Age: 28
Agency: NASA
Role: Technician, Scientist
Background: Gordon is a NASA technician, one of the best, with extensive knowledge on the highest-level experimental technology. Although he isn't FBI per-se, he was the only available person available with the skills needed to understand the alien craft, so he was picked up mere hours after the UFO crash. He is being kept in the dark about what is going on; he realizes that it is a government operation, but he isn't provided with any details, information, or anything else about what is going on.
Skills: Extremely skilled with mechanics, technology. Able to decipher most encryption codes (Did it for fun). Can quickly understand most technology thrown at him.
Flaws: Gordon is rather arrogant and mistrusting. He works well with people who are open and accepting, and actively tries to make lives miserable for those who hide things from him.

That goes against etiquette, Error. The general rule is one individual and one empire at any given time.

@cats There's no written rule (or need for written rule) that sez only 1 of each at a time.
Also, I accepted, Deadly, or no?

It's accepted; I was hoping that you would also create an active character for the start of the game.

That's why I said it's against etiquette and not against rules.

I just don't really see why it's etiquette, as the RPs all go through a process of Darwinist Selection anyhow.

Because it 1: undermines the existing RP, and 2: can cause buildup of RPs, which isn't good for anyone.
