Name:Gary Oak

Species:Human

Personality:Charismatic, Smug, Energetic, and Gary Oak

Profession:Aerospace Engineer in service of the government

Perks (Good things):Knows the ins and outs of spaceship mechanics. Has basic understanding of most machines and various compounds of the incendiary explosive sort.

Flaws (Bad things, balance with Perks):Has very little knowledge on the use of firearms or weapons of any-sort. Easily envied as he is Gary Oak. Not used to working with tools as machines did most of the work.

Starting Center (North, East, South, West, or Center):West

Background:Gary Oak was an average Aerospace engineer before the war, however when the war started the government deemed members of his field of study priority and moved them to secure areas. This leads to Gary Oak in the Western Cryogenic facility. Also, he was really good at the online animal battling game Creaturemon because he is Gary Oak.

James Miller and Milles Hazeron accepted. For James, your weapons are inoperational at start, due to the effects of Cryo-sleep.

Gary Oak denied.

And we start.

-Southern Cryo Outpost-

Ash became aware of an intense, flashing red light in front of him. His head hurt like hell, and his vision was incredibly blurred and foggy. The red light was the only thing really visible as things began to take focus. The light was a part of a thick, intricately carved steel door. Several locks came together in the center to a handle, one that was slightly frosted with ice. Fog swirled around Ash as he began regaining control over himself. At the same time, a small holo-projector came online from above him. Ash read the words on the illuminated panel in front of him.

-EMERGENCY ALERT-

//>Cryogenic Systems Failure
//>Awakening Active Subjects

It scrolled for a second, showing a multitude of code, and then showed another screen.

-CRYO CHAMBER 7 DIAGNOSTICS-
//>Subject Milles Hazeron; ACTIVE
//>Subject Emily Curran; DECEASED
//>Subject Max Wenzel; DECEASED
//>Subject Ash Karjand; ACTIVE
//>Subject Peter Rawling; DECEASED
//>Subject Dawn Alan; DECEASED
//>Subject Zero; ACTIVE

It scrolled again. Ash felt several clamps loosening from him, and was able to look down. He saw himself in some sort of armor, and it was moving with him. But he had little time to make further observations. The screen displayed another message.

//>Releasing Cryo Pod 4 Seal

Ash saw the locks loosen, and the door opened with a rush of air. Ash immediately noticed the stale quality of it. He tried to step out, but his legs failed him, and he fell to the ground. Gathering his strength, he picked himself up to look at the ruined cryo chamber.

It was a mess. Metal had fallen everywhere, multiple systems had failed, computer terminals were smashed. Some conduits sparked, and Ash felt a rumble. Some distant explosion, or tremor, maybe. He heard another seal open, and looked to see another person step out of the chamber.

West

Leais watched the glass panel slide into the side of the pod, and witnessed his body crumpling to the floor of the chamber. Being of small stature, he had thawed before the others, which was lucky, as it seemed that the stimulant hadn't been adapted for his particular set of mutations and had caused his muscles to remain partially unresponsive. Gripping the side of the pod, he slowly rose to his feet and cautiously took a few steps forward, then doubled over, coughing up some clear substance that apparently lined his lungs and covered his skin. A jet of water struck Leais mid-cough and he fell to the floor again, then a stream of air dried him.

A storage bin beside the open pod swung open, revealing the set of white clothing in which he had been escorted to the facility. The garments were slightly discolored with age, but had retained their functionality. Leais donned the clothes and looked around. The storage unit was in a state of morbid disrepair. A sheet of dust covered everything, but many systems seemed functional, including some of the cryogenic pods. Having regained his physical faculties, he limped over to a monitor between the rows of pods and wiped the dust off of it's surface. It flashed an emergency warning, Leais wiped it aside and tapped a few icons until the device showed the patient logs. Most of the pods were empty, many had failed, leaving the contents dead, and a few still had live subjects, who were thawing currently. He didn't see his sister's name among the dead or living, though he had seen her enter dormancy. He would look for her later.

South.

Darkness wrapped around me like a shroud, the only thing I could hear at first was the steady beating of my heart. Half aware, I began to come to, my senses slowly picking up, my mind beginning to come back to me after what felt like an eternity of dormancy.

"…up….tt"

I felt confused as I heard muffled sounds. It sounded like something was banging on a glass door in front of me, a muffled voice calling me back to the world of the living.
"a....C...open...cham..."

Suddenly, the surface in front of me gave way, the gush of wind hitting me like a blast of cold arctic air. I shuddered at the sensation, my body instantly going into a fit of shivering, and I pulled my arms close as I tried to numbly make sense of my surroundings.

As the cryo chamber slip past front of me,i falled on the ground a little lost. My vision was blurry and i could not perceive the place as it was.After some minutes i could look at it. The place was nearly entirelly forgotten and weared down*

As Jack came to he realized two things, one he was on the floor and two he was not in Max Security cryo pod. He picked himself off the ground and looks around. 'Welcome back Omega'.

"Yes Hello Lex."

He looks around to find a screen listing some names.

//>Subject Jack Cintier; ACTIVE
//>Subject Salo; DECEASED
//>Subject Ion; DECEASED
//>Subject Uno; DECEASED
//>Subject Rakn; INJURED
Jack starts typing things in.

Ciiyt awoke, then slumped to the floor of the cryo chamber. He could feel the thick drug used in cryo-stasis slowly being leeched from his body, and he could feel powerful stimulants being pumped in. He quickly felt better, and did an inventory check on himself.

2 wings, 2 legs, 12 talons, beak, and eyes. Everything important was there, except about half his vocal chords.

He disconnected the IV drips and reached over to grab his powersuit. It was a typical rig for a scout ship operator, having small control jets and basic armor that could protect from micrometeoroids and small arms fire. The rubbery lower body suit fit tightly over his body, then the armor plates and vacuum seals fit on metal tabs in the lower suit.

Thusly equipped, Ciiyt opened the cryo bay doors.

*As he gained his senses again,he walked over the console.There was a little light there " LOW POWER" so he could send only one message*

TRANSMISSION TO THE OTHER OUTPOST:

= This is Hazeron,Special Operation units. The place is a mess and the energy is going low...I will close all doors and begin a repair. I will try to bring part of the facility operational. This is my last message,the power is running out."
*The computer went off with the message being transmitted.Then hazeron left there,picking what he could from the place.From a locker he could find some tools and minor scrap eletricity cables*

East

Prematurely awoken during thawing by the loud actions of the cryo bay doors being opened, Chris found herself in a dark cryo pod. Normally, it would have been lighted and a screen displayed but not at this time, according to normal procedures the subject shouldn't be awake. Soon enough though, the lights in the pod blinked on and a holographic display appeared. The screen showed pod statuses, the majority were listed as dead, a few people were listed as active, but one in particular confused her. The neighboring pod, occupied by what seemed to be a strigiform, was listed as 'open'. This struck her as odd, but it did provide an explanation for her early waking. After displaying the information for what seemed like forever, the unnoticed clamps holding her in place released with a barely audible hiss and the frosted door locks unlocked. Still weary from the drugs used to prevent ice crystals from forming in her, Chris laid still in the near-vertical bed of the pod for what seemed an eternity until the pod's door opened on its own. Stepping out, her foot made a clank. Not the clank of a shoe or boot striking a floor, but that of a heavy footstep. Noticing a bit of a draft, she looked around. To her surprise she found the bay door opened. She stared out at the ruined city, once a gleaming marvel was reduced to scorched ruins. After a particularly large gust interrupted her, she decided to check her current situation. Walking towards a cryo pod door, internal lights still off, she surveyed her current appearance in the reflection of the shiny white metal. Seemingly forgetting, she wasn't wearing a damn thing. Quickly running back to her pod, to search for something to wear. The exterior control panel's screen asked for her ID code. Promptly entering it, the wall behind folded away and presented her issued HEV. The suit was a thermally-padded jumpsuit with hardpoints to connect components to. Among them was a communicator, rebreather, several bits of simple ceramic plates, and a soft-seal helmet. After putting on all available components, the helmet's holographic HUD didn't, well, display. Thinking it a problem of connections, she checked to see if all cable were connected. They were. Manually checking power reserves, she found it was full. Walking around to investigate the cause, she noticed not simply that the wall was just a series of sheer-faced lockers, but that a, if you could even call it such, semi-circle of pod were defunct along with the ceiling lights there. Her suit was in the theoretical rest of the circle. The only logical explanation was a circular EMP hit this part of the facility. This did mean, however, that the unaffected suits probably still functioned but realized she couldn't get to them because you required the person's ID to access their locker. She was stuck with the defunct suit.

Ash didn't notice Milles leave for a terminal. What he did notice was the lights shutting off. He wouldn't be able to see, if it weren't for some sort of light coming from several vents. Another rumble, this time of machinery powering down. Probably an industrial fan. The place couldn't withstand an apocalypse if it was designed to. His headache was subsiding, and he decided to check this armor he was wearing.

From his observations, it was a Mk-IVA Varia Suit, designed to withstand hostile environments. How he came to be in possession of it, he didn't know. It would probably self-destruct on him anyway. He didn't see any controls, nor could his hands reach one. He thought about prying open the armor on his left arm. To his surprise, it hissed and popped open. He examined it, and realized it was directly controlled by his mind. Great, it would be controlling him. He spotted several hardpoints, a few obviously for weapon mounts, others for shield systems, but the rest were unknown to him. All he had was the bare-suit. He sighed and stood up.

He spotted a large chamber door, apparently jammed. It said Surface Access. Would be best to head there. He set off through the desolate halls.

EVENT:
In North Cryo Outpost, a power failure occurs. Many of the systems shut off, though most are quickly restored by a backup fission system. Many computers, however, are completely reset and locked, requiring high-level passwords to access.

*He started to write some things in the main console. As the power were running low,he could direct the power to 3 areas. The current console,the lights and some doors. This was necessary as this what he could do with the engineer password.After this he was searching for some materials around the place. He surely noted the jumpsuit. But he have time to discover about it later. He prepared a little iron bar as weapon in hand,just in case and assembled a small toolkit*

(still west)

Leais turned away from the monitor and began running through the checklist his doctors and keepers made him memorize him before the freeze. First a visual inspection of the sensors and field emitters on his hands, made to assist in simple manipulation of matter at distance. The metallic pads on his fingertips all appeared to be functioning, as was the larger one on his palm. The equipment implanted in his brain would require a more in-depth test. He raised his right hand and focused on a small spot of dust. The dust climbed a small distance to the air, formed a tiny ball, then puffed into flame. He focused on the empty air where the flicker was extinguished. It shimmered and glowed slightly. He allowed the heat to dissipate and refocused on a locker door, drawing his fingers in toward his palm. The thin, rusted metal buckled and bowed outward before leaping from the locker's cavity. Satisfied, Violet lowered his hand, making a note to check his power every few hours to monitor his recovery.

The others should be awake before too long. Leais decided to search the banks for Grey. Of the pods that contained living individuals, none of them held his sister. He checked a corridor that would have led to a second bank, but it only yielded a pile of impassible rubble. He returned to the main area and checked one of the emergency exits. The simple mechanical door functioned properly and exposed A stairwell leading to the outside. The top few steps were illuminated with sunlight. He returned to the screen to monitor the progress of the other's thawing, and was met with a message from a special operative, who had apparently awoken just after Violet, in a different facility. It seems there are others.

He turned when one of the icons changed from "Active" to "Open" and he heard the hiss of an opening pod.
