Short History/Description:
After the New Paradigm was effectively destroyed, surviving automated manufactories designed to continue the reign of The Empress activated. Wreckage and debris left in the systems were cannibalized or repaired to make most current equipment. One of two backups of The Empress was awoken while the other stored with a new third were kept in cryogenic stasis. Most of the civilian population and military personnel are clones of a set of specially selected peoples who were chosen to be the loyal followers of The Empress, due to this they have unquestioned obedience to Her, if captured they would readily commit suicide than say anything.

Technology- 4 - Sparse basic energy weapons, almost exclusively kinetic weaponry. Shields are mainly for deflecting micro asteroids and radiation, making most vehicles heavily armored.

Special Tech: Advanced Slip-Merge technology. Use of generation of extradimensional bubbles and hyperspace fields for weaponry and transportation. A standard slip-merge projection cannon can throw a medium fighter into hyperspace, where it is either ripped apart or stranded. If the weapon is used on a larger vessel, it will create a series of micro-bubbles at the focus point that can force the structure to disintegrate. The use of these powerful weapons comes at a price of an extremely high energy requirement, which is comparable to a full jump into hyperspace. Hyperspace travel is also much faster due to a deeper understanding and more advanced technology than most other factions.

Hundreds of Lithe launch bays (of which only a few have been filled) and a prototype point defense system negate this flaw somewhat, but not entirely.)
Special Tech (The Chimera Direct Fire mechanism allows the extreme magnification of plasma beams to induce catalytic damage on a target. An unanticipated side effect of this is that the weapon's beam can rapidly overdraw an opposing vessel's shields - due in no small part to modern shielding techniques attempting to focus energy to points of contact rather than maintaining a consistent, weaker barrier all around, as in previous designs. This epicenter of sorts is easily overwhelmed by the unexpected sheer force of the beam, particularly when focus fired, and while the scattered ions attempt to realign themselves the defensive barrier is effectively useless. While the power draw is far too untenable for conventional vessels to wield a significant number of them, the conservative amount of turrets on Protectorate ships in the first place, coupled with their over-efficient reactors, make the mechanism is a perfect fit for the Taln Defense Force.

Short History/Description:
After the New Paradigm was effectively destroyed, surviving automated manufactories designed to continue the reign of The Empress activated. Wreckage and debris left in the systems were cannibalized or repaired to make most current equipment. One of two backups of The Empress was awoken while the other stored with a new third were kept in cryogenic stasis. Most of the civilian population and military personnel are clones of a set of specially selected peoples who were chosen to be the loyal followers of The Empress, due to this they have unquestioned obedience to Her, if captured they would readily commit suicide than say anything.

Technology- 4 - Sparse basic energy weapons, almost exclusively kinetic weaponry. Shields are mainly for deflecting micro asteroids and radiation, making most vehicles heavily armored.
Military- 5 - Personnel are given extensive training from birth to late teens, ships have a 1 MAC requirement for heavy corvettes and larger regardless of purpose (includes civilian ships).
Economy- 3 - Being a self-sustaining nation that'd be better described as a clone army involving multiple genders and a "civilian variant", monies are only even considered when dealing with other nations. The closest thing to an internal economy is distribution of resources.
Social- 7 - Citizens and military personnel are essentially programmed from "conception" to have an undying obedience and loyalty to The Empress.
Size~ 3 (I don't know how much this is) - Only owning 2 systems, 3 stars, 7 planets, 27 moons, and 1 moderately sized asteroid belt, Novus is not very large compared to larger empires.
Population~ 6 (I don't know how much this is) - Exactly 870,000,500,001 (immigration is illegal, making this much easier. Until people die from combat, that is).
Industry- 7 - Most planets and some large moons as well as safe stars receive as many shipyards around them as their orbital pathing allows. Planets allocated to be a production world is literally covered with production facilities. This allows a large industrial capability.

Short History/Description: The nation was founded by the Feles, a secluded race that emerged 300-400 years ago. Soon after discovering advanced space flight, the Feles spread throughout much of the Bata Viel. When the faction was accepted into the Galactic community, it joined a large alliance. As tension between alliances and factions increased, the TSRFM split from the alliance and returned to seclusion, taking several small human factions with it. Feles Mundum rode out the PanGalactic War in seclusion, accepting refuges and expanding its territory and power. The TSRFM emerged from the war a rather powerful nation.

Special Tech: Advanced Slip-Merge technology. Use of generation of extradimensional bubbles and hyperspace fields for weaponry and transportation. A standard slip-merge projection cannon can throw a medium fighter into hyperspace, where it is either ripped apart or stranded. If the weapon is used on a larger vessel, it will create a series of micro-bubbles at the focus point that can force the structure to disintegrate. The use of these powerful weapons comes at a price of an extremely high energy requirement, which is comparable to a full jump into hyperspace. Hyperspace travel is also much faster due to a deeper understanding and more advanced technology than most other factions.

Flagship (the SABER class ultra-dreadnaught. Though parts of it are largely incomplete and merely unarmored skeleton, the SABER is a massive 10 km long warship possessing an axial long range laser (that can render planets uninhabitable when charged sufficiently), numerous proton missile arrays, and thousands of Chimera cannon banks. It is the crown jewel of the Protectorate fleet, however it is largely vulnerable to strike craft threats due to the Taln's emphasis on quality over quantity. Hundreds of Lithe launch bays (of which only a few have been filled) and a prototype point defense system negate this flaw somewhat, but not entirely.)
Special Tech (The Chimera Direct Fire mechanism allows the extreme magnification of plasma beams to induce catalytic damage on a target. An unanticipated side effect of this is that the weapon's beam can rapidly overdraw an opposing vessel's shields - due in no small part to modern shielding techniques attempting to focus energy to points of contact rather than maintaining a consistent, weaker barrier all around, as in previous designs. This epicenter of sorts is easily overwhelmed by the unexpected sheer force of the beam, particularly when focus fired, and while the scattered ions attempt to realign themselves the defensive barrier is effectively useless. While the power draw is far too untenable for conventional vessels to wield a significant number of them, the conservative amount of turrets on Protectorate ships in the first place, coupled with their over-efficient reactors, make the mechanism is a perfect fit for the Taln Defense Force.
