Shrunk

After nearly 5 years of experimentation in the lab orbiting Valix IV, the final prototype had finally been completed. Thought impossible by almost everyone, it had taken thousands of years to be realized.
Fenway eyed the statis tanks for the previous experiments. They were all well and good, but it wasn't right. The shrinking process had damaged them, slightly. But it was no matter.
With his lab assistants behind him, he prepared the initial firing tests on an apple. He watched as the power cycled. 10%... 30%... 60%... 100%. A green beam shot out from the prototype's muzzle, and impacted the apple with a slight crackle. The apple pulsed, several times, before finally crushing into a tiny point. The beam shut off. Fenway brought the apple under a microscope.
It had been preserved perfectly. The experiment was a success. Fenway and the lab assistants began cheering. After a few minutes, they began checking over data processes to make sure everything was as expected.
It was at this point that the machine started crackling. Fenway looked up, just as power arcs began circling the mechanism. It began filling the room with green sparks, until the room began flashing. Fenway spied several objects being crushed, just as he was himself. He lost consciousness.
When he came to, he noticed he was on the floor. The lab table towered above him. and the pieces from the prototype littered the floor. A critical malfunction. He got up, noticing he was a mere 1 cm tall, and spied the other lab assistants, also shrunk, nearby.
They were the only ones on the small station. This was not good.

In Shrunk, everyone aboard the small research station has, along with many other items, been shrunk to mere centimeters in height. The prototype has been destroyed. And there is nobody else on the station, save the rather large security and maintenance robotic systems. They probably won't take too kindly to tiny people running around...
Application:
Name:
Species:
New Height: (Remember, around 1 cm based on creature)
Abilities:
Flaws:
Role aboard station:
Everyone starts in the main research chamber, on the floor.
Our goals? To survive, and somehow return ourselves to normal size.
