The Orion Confederation



The Orion Confederation is a nation made up of 5 planets. These are
Cyrania I, II, III, and IV, as well as Anstrilia II. The Confederation's
approximate population is 24-30 billion. This includes humans, equines,
avians, etc. The economy is a steady one that is supported by a lot of
mining and industry. Agriculture is the main economic activity
on Anstrilia II. All citizens must serve at least 1 year in the military,
so most citizens know how to fight. The military also provides jobs,
so unemployment rate is low. The Confederation is also a member of the
UGC, so it benefits from organizations such as the CTP
(Conglomerate Tactical Police), as well as benefiting from trade and
shared technology. The one glaring downfall of the Confederation is its lack of planets, which it hopes to remedy soon with more annexations.

Government: A direct democracy with some variations. The Chancellor runs
the nation, like a president does, but he or she holds power until they
die. The Assembly of the Confederacy makes the day to day decisions.
The military branch of the government is Confederation Command,
which makes only military decisions, but they are consulted if a
decision is being made in the Assembly that relates to the military.

Economy: The Confederation's economy revolves around mining, industry,
electronics production, and banking. The tax rate is 32%, but most
citizens are employed, either in the military or another job.

Confederation Marine Corps:

The Confederation Marine Corps prides itself on its intensive training
and ability to storm any planet given enough time and manpower. This
branch of the Confederation military, as the name implies, is for ground
combat. They utilize 12mm gauss rifles, carbon-nanotube exoskeletons,
and Sabre 95mm rocket-launchers to overwhelm their adversaries. 1 brigade
of marines is enough to hold about 8 miles of territory, due to their
exoskeletons being a force multiplier.
Confederation Shock Troopers:

Confederation Shock Troopers are one of the 2 "elite" branches of the
military. The soldiers are the first to assault a planet, taking out
sensor sites, AA defenses, power sources, and the like. They also
board enemy ships when it is necessary. They can also perform black
operations, but it isn't their strong suit. They utilize 12mm gauss SMGs,
93mm Rapier all-purpose missile launchers, and carbon-nanotube
exoskeletons reinforced with titanium to accomplish their job.
The Home Guard:

The other elite branch of the military, these soldiers defend the
Confederation home planets from anything and everything. They work closely
with the CBP when not in wartime. The Home Fleet is their main force, but they also have ground units.
Confederation Border Police:
Spoiler:
This is a paramilitary organization that is responsible for keeping the
borders of the Confederation secure and safe. They don't, however,
defend the border. They just keep contraband, terrorists, and other
unwanted things out. The CBP is also partially responsible for enforcing
the LOCKOUT Protocol. Their bases are space stations along the border.
They keep 4 Omaha frigates and 1 Invictus destroyer docked at each.
Some have a Daedalus cruiser, but that is rare.

The Victory is the Confederation's response to the larger empires' "super ships". It is designed to be able to take on capital ships and other super ships. It can also assault planets.

Secondary Weapons: x520 Turbolasers, x32 missile racks with 20 BLACKHAWK II missiles each, x130 40mm railguns
Anti-fighter weaponry: x320 flak guns, GARDIAN System (Supplied by Darkstar).
Fighter Capacity: x50 Gladius fighters
Armor: Titanium-80 with tungsten reinforcement.
Shields: Particle Shields Mk VI
Shuttle Capacity: x10 Surprise Class dropships.
Stealth: SIGMA SINGULARITY Stealth Device
Other: x6 Omaha Class frigates (or similarly sized vessels), backup for the GARDIAN, backup fail-resistant AI for if the bridge is destroyed, 1 marine division, 1 armored brigade.
