Tanya, noticing Vena shouting, pulled her rifle and took cover behind the crate. She looked at the weapon stock poking out, and decided it couldn't hurt to quickly search the crate.

Re: Titanium Jacket
Karl raised an eyebrow at this, but continued to the corvette. Pausing at the open hatch, he looked for a release mechanism; finding none (or at least, none operating), he motioned for Ytiil to follow him in. Climbing up to the widest part of the gap, he slid inside; the cargo bay looked much the same as the hangar deck.
Rifle at the ready, he swept the room, looking for remains, ID tags, anything of note.

Kea turned around and saw Vena firing at the vent. She was not sure if this was a thread or just the overreaction of a weird and unpredictable mind. Kea focused on Vena and didn't receive any thoughts, this was not surprising, since Vena was equipped with psionic powers, which greatly surpassed hers, but she could not detect any fear. So Kea took the Toolkit and shouted: "Calm down 'Nomaly, please tell us what you've found, before you wreck the whole place!"

Vena isn't firing at the vent, only leveled the weapon at the vent.

You quickly search the crate. Rolling for luck... 36.
You find nothing particularly useful in the crate; it's all broken electronics and components. Worthless. You do pull out the stock, however, which turns out to be a weapon of a model you don't recognize. It's quite obviously busted, but the sights on the weapon are interesting- and, more importantly, functional. You clip them off and attach them to your rifle. Interestingly, the sights automatically adapt and match your rifle's weapon spread and range.

There is no response from the creature- it seems to have vanished. The smaller creatures don't seem interested either, and simply scuttle around the ventilation some distance away, so say their signatures. Rolling for luck... 99 (seriously?)
One creature breaks off from the pack and approaches, slowly and cautiously. You raise your weapon as it approaches, and... it's a rabbit. A tiny, white rabbit-like creature peeks out from the gap in the vent where the vine used to be. It looks at you quizzically before hopping out onto a pile of crates stacked up to the vent. You sense no hostility in the creature's mind.

The place is really, really creepy. The lights are all shattered or broken, and everything loose in the room is piled against the northern wall (towards the front of the station) as if gravity was shifted. The room slants towards that path. Only a few lights remain intact, and oddly enough, there are no bodies in the room. Rolling for luck and perception... 97 and 50 (dice please).
You step over a fallen wire and gently nudge it. It sparks as you does so, and you jump back. The entire wire begins sparking and leads towards a few dark consoles on the wall, which you hadn't noticed before. The power arcs reach it and the monitors blink on one by one, showing a multitude of screens.

Re: Titanium Jacket
Karl walked slowly over the the consoles. Cautiously, he tapped in a simple system diagnostic command, then turned and swept the bay once more.
Tripping his radio, he relayed to the team, 'Valkyrius here. Active control stations inside the corvette, attempting access now. Standby for update.'

Re: Titanium Jacket
As Ricco rolled up on the rabbit with his gun out, he identified the new creature and added it to his info log. "Creature appears to have no hostile intention," Ricco announced rolling onto his four legs. Ricco folded his gun away and began walking to Karl's location. Acknowledged Karl, please notify me of any ports connecting to the ships computer systems, there could be some helpful information in it's database.

You reach the corvette's cargo bay door only to find that you can't get in. The ajar door is not conducive for a rolling ball to fit through, so you're stuck outside until the door can be fully opened.

You look at some of the screens. Several are diagnostic reports; the most prominent being SYSTEM FAILURE. Most core ship systems have overloaded. Another displays a recent sensor log. You scan over it. It describes a "rapidly shifting" gravitational anomaly present extremely close to the ship itself; perhaps this anomaly is what skewed everything around?
One final screen catches your eye. It appears to be the master control screen. But it is locked down, presumably to prevent unauthorized personnel from gaining access to it. You guess several codes. Rolling for logical... 17 (tough luck mate).
You fail to gain access, but fortunately, the system doesn't lock down.

You get within a meter and it tenses up. Shortly afterward, it jumps into your arms and snuggles against you, purring softly. It seems to trust you completely.

Re: Titanium Jacket
Kea let go of the sandwich and continued to search through the hangar. There were mostly big, sealed crates, some with danger signs, others with a sign saying what was inside them. A machine block here, a coolant system there. She stopped at a crate which was obviously opened with violence. She checked the sign: Groceries. Next to the crate was an angle grinder. It was cold, but it still had energy. Kea estimated that it was used in the past 6 hours. A sign of life! She looked around suspiciously, in the academy they learned a lot about traps and observation. And now she had the feeling of being watched. She opened a comms channel and said: "I have the feeling we're being watched, watch out for signs of life." After a second she said: "I think we should move on."
Suddenly, Julo.

As you and Ytiil advance, you the path forks. Ahead it is blocked completely, but the passageway goes left and right. After sweeping the area and confirming no life signs, you take the right. Ytiil takes the left.
Your hallway soon folds back forward towards the fore again. The further you progress, the more twisted and slanted the room becomes. Cracks and fissures line the entire hallway. Soon you are standing more on the wall than the floor. Rolling for perception... 69.
As you step over a crack, something creaks. Then snaps. Metal screams as the entire hallway drops a meter or more, you with it. You are able to stay on your feet as it dropped and weren't hurt, but the hallway behind you is no more. Instead it appears to lead into a room that was previously sealed off. It appears to be the power generator from what you can see- the massive fusion reactor dominates the center of the room. On the far side of it, very below you, is another door. This one is ajar, and precisely opposite from the door on your side a meter or so above you.

The ship creaks, something snaps, and the floor drops a little. Just a bit, compared to the upper floors. But you are caught off guard. You lose your balance and fall to the floor, amid a few crates and other items. But you don't appear to be injured. You look to your left and see a human face staring back at you. You jump up, it falls over and the corpse crumbles to dust. Only the clothes and I.D card remain- "Dr. Riley Zonas, PhD. Project Gravity."

The pulse fills the room and permeates slightly outside it- Vena feels it slightly. It detects nothing apart from your team and Vinebane- inside the room. But there is something outside the hanger's closed doors. It only appears for a second before vanishing completely.
