"There it is. Station XR-7. Top secret weapons research facility." The dropship pierced through the green nebula, weaving through to the massive station. The side wings trailed nebula gas behind is, and the back was illuminated by a translucent blue glow. The engines pushed the ship through, side engines occasionally firing to correct course. The bridge went silent as the commander rose to spoke.

"Six days ago all communications with XR-7. This was normal. The nebula XR-7 passes through sometimes disrupts the signal." He paused. "Two days ago, XR-7 dropped into a sub-orbital trajectory. In three months, it will collide with Pyyrhus." There was another pause. The dropship was drawing closet to the long station. "XR-7 is a decommissioned Desert class dreadnought. Five kilometers long, two kilometers in diameter. It's titanium alloy plating can resist some of the strongest weapons we can throw at it."

"Command sent us to investigate. Our objective is to find out what happened. But gentlemen, expect the worst. This facility..." he paused and looked out the window. The bridge lights had come on, and the auto-pilot into the primary hanger had engaged. The massive doors were opening, and the atmospheric shield switched on. And flickered.

"This facility dealt in illegal research. Chemical, biological, nuclear. AI research. Everything under the sun." The dropship began slowing down as it entered the massive hanger, and spun to face the exit. The team began to assemble their gear and prepared to move out as the Ganymede touched down.

You are a part of Tachyon force, an elite special operations unit operating under the Terran Union. Something happened to XR-7. This task force is very small, because why would you send an army? No, Tachyon force is elite.

Skills

Skills are critical in your success and determine proficiency. Leveling them, however, is difficult, so choose wisely! They go from 1-20. 1 being having little to no knowledge, while 20 is being an absolute god in the subject.
Spoiler:
-Engineering: This skill determines your proficiency with machines. But not software.

-Programming: This skill determines hacking ability, software ability, and so on.

-Close-Quarters: How well you fight in close combat. This includes melee and close-ranged weapons (like shotguns)

-Marksmanship: Aiming skill. How well you can aim and hit things. Quite obviously, higher range indicates higher accuracy. Completely ignored in close quarters, generally.

-Medical: The Art of Medicine. How well you can treat wounds.

-Psionics: Psionic ability. Not everyone can be psionic, and it is very rare. And in a place like this, it might just work against you...

-Logical: Logical ability. This includes figuring out puzzles, figuring things out, etc. Most importantly, this can help you identify what exactly you are looking at, combined with technology.

-Stealth: Ability to hide, sneak around things, generally be stealthy.

-Social: And finally, social ability. How well you talk to people. Can help you get information, and so on.

Rules

-This RP will be played on a variable timeframe. Everyone takes an action at the turn and I determine what happens. If someone doesn't post, I act for them (often with deadly/hilarious results).

-I am master GM.

-Outcomes of events will be determined by a dice roll. The higher it is, the better the outcome. Of course, this is also influenced by your skill in the matter. I will roll the dice.

-You must keep a character sheet that describes skills, items, etc.

Added stealth (and 1 point to character sheet to compensate.) Good idea.

Looks good Daynel. Acceptabru.

Same for you error, as long as you add your extra point and stuff.

I'm also considering adding 4-5 more points (due to small turnout) so that we have all the skills/bases covered.

Misc Stats: Capable of short flights, but maneuvering is difficult, as is gaining altitude quickly.

Spoiler:
Name: Kyythii Ytiil
Species: Strigiforme
Base Character Sheet: See above
Role: CQC heavy weapons owl
Bio: Born on a Strigiforme border world, Ytiil was frequently exposed to poverty and violence. While the Strigiforme forces on the world tried to keep order, there weren't enough, and they didn't warrant more to be deployed. Consequentially, many of the locals formed protection gangs and militia, which are firmly banned by the Strigiforme government. While the garrison then, knowing the problems, allowed it to continue, when they were switched out for another, issues began. The new garrison force and their commander were from the inner worlds, accustomed to peace and compliant populations. The world, Iylvrs, was nothing like that. Large human minorities in several regions actively resisted the Strigiforme, and racial riots were a regular occurrence. The new garrison cracked down on the militias, who were used to having a great deal of power in communities with mixed populations. A few fought back, but most submitted. Ytiil, a former militia member, was given the opportunity to go off world and escape his predetermined life of abject poverty. He was taken in by a private international defence group who were in great need of a Strigiforme operative. After working with them for several years, Ytiil left and joined the Terran Marines. He was quickly noticed for his experience, and commended multiple times. He was soon recruited into a test group of special forces, composed entirely of nonhumans. While the group collapsed within a few months, he was picked up by another special operations group in need of a Strigiforme, and continued to shift around in them for a few years until ending up in Tachyon.
Appearance: Stark white, yellow eyes. 2.3 meters tall; short, for a Strigiforme.

I don't really know if having multiple CQC people is an issue. It is an enclosed space, after all; the reasonable plan would be to send a lot of CQC people.

Issue: This is a re-purposed Desert class dreadnought. 5 km long. You have a fair share of both narrow corridors AND huge rooms/spaces. Why?

Biodomes. Habitats. It's about 50/50. That's why there's both "close quarters" and long-range accuracy. Not everything's gonna be up close. Just FYI.

Now to apps:

ACH: gud.

Luna: On one condition. I forgot to add that, in Terran Union space, ALL forms of AI are banned. This is a safety measure put in place after the Robotic Revolution of 2134, where uncontrolled AI use and development caused widespread social strife, economic collapse, and chaos as AI's outcompeted humans in every manner.

So, you don't exist. Officially. You're just marked as a semi-autonomous drone, and to that end, the team engineer WILL have overriding codes to manually override ALL your systems at will. Security measure, you see.

Starships and stations tend to be made up of enclosed spaces. @Fen larger spaces are the exception, but that's what the designated marksmen are for.

The local equivalent of a ninja+marine combination would be absolutely terrifying in such an enclosed space.
