Unexpected Borders

It is the early 24th century (2314, to be exact), you are one of several explorers of a rather new faction, the Novan Commonwealth.

You've heard tell of wild stories of an as of yet unidentified race residing in the galactic Northwest. In search of the fame the discovery will bring, you've taken your ship, the Calculated Adherence, to the near edge of space and have been slowly jumping from system to system searching for any sign of them.

While waiting for the drive to spool up for the next jump, your comms system burst to life. A fast, sharpish voice squawked over the speakers - and audio only transmission. Your voice-to-text screen immediately began making its words readable.

On the console appeared "Ques exion kesvar? Olgolanoanozeah kesvar!" The statement repeated three times before it stopped, the radio became mute once again. The words persisted on the screen, staring back as you stared into them. What are your next actions, captain?

Hm.

Reply. In English: "This is the CIV Calculated Adherence. Please repeat your last, in English or Standard if possible."
In Novan Standard: "Exott CIV Calulated Adherence. Norroyo tell past, English a Serndad."

EDIT: Also, that is not a name any self-respecting Novan commander, civilian or no, would use. I assume they're out here due to shame.

@Error As another message comes in, your scanners pick up an inbound FTL signature. The message says "Kesbah titosolna untoe silzefnaun. Tauoel nagolan, sozenozelaze."
---
He's a Zuguthian immigrant.

@Shadow you roll a 12. The message is repeated, though it seems to have a hint more anger in it this time.

OOC: Each player is a different captain with their own independent timeline from the base one.

"Parezvo il language. I don't speak your language."

Also relay that in binary and Morse. Hold position.

@Error your screen becomes filled with a response in binary. Glancing at the sensors readout, the FTL signature will arrive in just under five minutes. Your drive will finished spooling in three.

@Error bathed in the light of its jump, the ship gliding towards you was almost hard to see, its hull as white as the glow. As you looked closer at it, you can make out distinct orange markings lining the vessel that culminated on either side at a large Hexagon, in the center of which was a strange glyph. As this happened, you received another transmission, again in binary.

(01010000 01010010 01000101 01011000 01000001 01010010 01000101 00100100 01000110 01001111 01010010 00100000 01000010 01001111 01011001 01010010 01000100 01001001 01000110 01000111 00101110)
Spoiler:

@Shadow your drive is not yet spooled. To attempt a jump before then would result in the destruction of your spacecraft, as was proven by several brave pioneers. Or rather, the follow-up teams. The FTL signature looms nearer, and will arrive in about ten minutes. Your drive will finished spooling in three.

Raise shields. Drive is spun up, da? Maneuver away from the vessel, but keep point defenses offline.

Relay in binary (because yourmown is... flaky): Do not board this vessel stop do not board this vessel stop

After receiving the message, send a picture-volume key of English (like the gold record on voyager, except updated to include more stuff), and this volume includes enough information to decipher the next message

"We (Picture of the ship) come in (picture of ship jumping into their space) peace (picture of people laying down their weapons). We (Picture of the ship, ours btw) are explorers (Picture of the galaxy, with the path of the ship outlined along it)."
