Planning has begun for the construction of some sort of regular public transport line between Earth and Technoma. This would allow for greater settlement of the planet as well as cheaper transport of resources and materials.

NR-Hierarchy has developed a secondary form of FTL communication that works in a similar principle to warp drives, but operates in an area-broadcast fashion rather than point-to-point like hyperpulse transmissions. The signal range is purely limited by the size of the broadcasting unit. Tests are being finalized and NR-Hierarchy has announced the new technology to the Terran Union and promises full-scale production to commence very soon.

Secondary testing of the jump drive has also revealed the possibility of stationary jump drives between points, removing the need for drives in every ship, though the power requirements and necessary hardware means the technology to transport ships in such a fashion is 20 years away or more. However, it may be possible to utilize very small-scale devices to enhance production. An experimental facility to test this is under construction on Antioch.

A recently discovered habitable world has been claimed by NR-Hierarchy as a center of research, production, and worker populations. A small fleet of colony ships sponsored (and controlled) by NR-Hierarchy are en-route to the world.

The colony fleets have arrived at their destinations and have begun counstruction of new hives. Of the seven planets being colonized two are volcanic worlds with thick atmospheres, Moon hives are being built while industrial settlements are being built to use the planets active lava flows. Three worlds are primarily ocean appropriate redesigns of the colony buildings are being made. The last two planets are equivalently [Terran] with >35% land mass covering the surface one planet contains no intelligent life and is being openly colonized. The other planet has a Industrial Age species living on it, The colonists for the time being are only colonizing the moon and waiting for further orders.

Scout ships are being sent out to hunt for new life and map the stretches of untouched space.

Twenty frigates are being retrofitted to carry drones and will make up the Expeditionary Fleet along with a couple support cruisers, some armed escorts, and a carrier flagship. The carrier will have fighter bays gutted and replaced with general-purpose landing bays.

The experimental facility has been completed, and is thus far a resounding success. The very small-scale 'gates' are able to quickly transport material from the nearby mines to the facility, eliminating the need for intermediary transport and sorting to allow for an uninterrupted supply of goods. The distance in this case, however, is too short to save money and time in the long run, and the system will be tested to see whether it can reliably transport goods to orbit, and subsequently the nearby moon.

NR-Hierarchy stocks are up nearly 14% after the Warp Radio hit the market, providing a cheap alternative to the purely point-to-point Hyperpulse communication system developed by TechTron Industries. Stocks in TechTron have fallen by 8%, and analysts believe that most Hyperpulse communications will be replaced by Warp Radio in a matter of months, especially in the civilian sector.

In other news. NR-Hierarchy has begun constructing its own private Space Armada after losing critical installations to the Strigiforme during the war, installations the Terran Union refused to protect. NR-Hierarchy has also launched a lawsuit against the Terran Union government, stating that it "failed in its obligation to protect its citizens" by allowing NR-Hierarchy colonies to be destroyed without resistance. The government has not yet issued a response.

Oh yes to clarify something: Are ARKs still a thing or are they gonna be written from canon while we have the chance?

After much deliberation: Yes, but in a different way.

For instance, they aren't networks anymore. Only isolated, desolate stations in some places or another. I'm going to tie them into the Kytherians.

But you're not going to stumble across an ARK station anytime soon. Oh no, there's only a few, far from any star, not visible on practically any sensor system, only visible through psionics due to a psionic flux emanating from them.

And they have a (more or less) sinister purpose.

Well, even I won't find the ARKs anytime soon either, gonna be more than a century until I can even consider developing flux scanners.

With the bulk of their fleet fitted for interstellar travel, the ME begins expanding to nearby systems.
One of the colonized planets already had much life on it, though no sentients. It has been named "Qanov" after an ancient Mobian god. This planet will recieve the most attention in the colonization effort and military assets are among the first structures being built.
