Die, you fucking robot bastards.

500 pounds of liquid metal spat out of the barrel in milliseconds, sending reverberations screeching through the wreck of a hundred tanks, a thousand APC's, a million smashed corpses of robot hell. An explosion lit the sky, already burning in a nuclear fire. The entire bridge section was wiped clean as an entire battalion fell before them, a walker detonated, a tank melted where it stood.

Hallix braced against the massive gun as another battalion took the former's place, filling the bridge again. His face was almost unrecognizable; caked in oil, grime. The once elegant power armor surrounding his body cracked, sparking, broken. His holographic display flickered weakly in front of him, a tactical map in the corner. Everything red. He wiped his hand against his head, a line of blood dripping down from a cut. Hallix smashed his fist against the side of the massive gun and it pulsed, wavering before disgorging 500 pounds of liquid death. The battalion fell. Another rose up.

The headset buzzed. "Walker in the north!" Cried Lavria, her image appearing over the map. Hallix could see her dancing through the army on the right, glowing red sword in hand, cutting down anything in her way. The walker towered over her, anchored against the aft portion wreck of the U.E.A Final Hope, the massive antimatter pulse cannon slung on it's underbelly rotating to meet her. The barrel glowed and vanished as a cloud of purple lightning enveloped the mechanism, disgorging a bolt of pure black at the red figure below it. Hallix grasped the railgun and heaved, rotating it towards the walker, and fired. 500 pounds of molten fire. The walker stumbled and crumbled, collapsing upon the cloud of smoke marking the antimatter pulse's final destination. It rumbled to a halt. Hallix watched the wreck for a brief moment, watched as it lifted itself and tossed to the side, the familiar red figure brushing off steel plates as if they were water before resuming her waltz with death. He swung the gun around again, met the oncoming battalion, and fired. 500 pounds of pure hatred, pure anger, raw and unprocessed. "Fuck you!" He screamed as the weapon discharged. "This is for Vanidan!" Another tank disintegrated. "This is for every member of Alpha you bastards killed!"

And the gun detonated, sending shards of metal as the antimatter core was compromised by weapons fire, sending Hallix flying backwards. He skidded along the ruined street as 500 pounds of magma rained down around him. He smashed against the wall, impaled on a piece of rebar, immobilized. Defeated. He ripped a pulse gun from the hands of a dead soldier next to him, checked the chamber, and continued fighting, stuck against the wall. To his right, he saw Lavria, her sword dark as it lay buried in the asphalt behind her. She continued lashing out at the army around her, a piece of rebar grasped in her hands. The army marched on, obscuring her, blotting her out, and Hallix turned to the robotic onslaught in front of him. He fired, continued firing, mowing down the army as it advanced, taking hits of laser fire that burned the skin, seared the armor. He fired until the gun stopped. Ammunition zero. He tossed the gun, grasped the rebar sticking through his chest, and pulled it out. He wielded it, stood up, and smashed the nearest robot's skull in. He impaled the smaller walker, even as the world turned grey. He decapitated another as the color drained, smashed more as the world lost all meaning, and everything faded to black.

[THREE YEARS EARLIER]

Tanya looked up from the telescope's monitoring screen as she heard someone come in behind her. Countless charts and arrays danced on the various monitors in front of her, the most prominent being the picture of Jupiter on the largest screen above her. It was centered on the Great Red Spot; it roiled as the Great Red Spot so often does. In the very center of the storm, marked by a pulsing circle, a tower seemed to poke out. Just barely, mostly obscured by clouds, imperceptibly there.

Tanya watched as Gion walked up the stairs to her control station, a tray of food in hand. A simple bagel sandwich, egg and cheese and sausage, seasoned and lightly toasted. A cup of tea beside it, still steaming. Her favorite. Gion placed it down next to her and took a seat. "Anything new?" he asked.

"Nothing you don't know," Tanya said with a slight laugh. She took hold of the tea and took a sip. Lightly sweet, easy on the throat. Invigorating.

"The President wants a report in three hours," he said, tapping his watch.

"They don't know any more than we do. It's building, sure, but for what?"

"War." A moment of silence. Tanya almost dropped the sandwich, having just picked it up.

"What?"

"The President sent a report. One of the monitoring satellites was shot down as it passed over the Scar."

"I didn't see anything."

"Europa's obscured by Jupiter. Of course you didn't." Gion chuckled, and shook his head. Tanya took a bite. Perfectly cooked, as Gion always does. "Considering the activity we detected around the Scar, the president wants to nuke the site. It's too dangerous to let it rebuild anymore."

"That's crazy."

"I told him that too. He wants your opinion."

"Same answer. We need to learn from it, not destroy it." Gion got up.

"I'll tell him what you said." He walked to the stairs, then stopped. "Regardless of the final decision, the president is sending Alpha. They launch in a week."

[ONE YEAR LATER]
The light sparkled through the ice as the sun rose over the planet. Europa, once thought to be the new home of humanity as it reached for the stars.

Humanity's first spaceship was not one of peace. It bristled with the pinnacle of terrestrial weapons; cannons, missile racks, even a laser emitter or two. Lights flicked on and off on it's angular surface as it tracked through space. The massive vessel, propelled through space by three rings of ionic thrusters over 6 months of waiting, watching, listening.

Alpha prepared aboard.

This is Galvanized.

You are Alpha, the most qualified and capable members of the United States ever to exist, equipped with the best the nation has to offer, on a suicide mission to save the planet. Or so you're told. It's 2020. Not much has advanced; modern technology most applies, with a few exceptions. For now.

There will be suffering. There will be pain. Nobody knows what lies ahead. But you have your orders. See too it that you carry them out.

All these worlds are yours except Europa, attempt no landing there.

Here is the Kamikaze floor plan. The left is the upper deck (main deck), the right is the lower deck (secondary deck). Rooms are labelled. Only two decks.

This was built on the ground and shot into orbit on a REALLY BIG ROCKET. Components were installed afterwards.

Note that the Inner Ring contains the food, recreation, and studies. The outer ring contains the crew quarters, medical area, fitness (gotta stay fit in space). They ARE unbroken, so you can run around the ring. I did some calculations, and the outer ring's velocity is approximately 25 m/s to maintain .7 G gravity. The outer ring is slightly less.

Why are there so many doors? Simply put; to be able to seal off sections AND have alternate access to other sections in the event of combat damage. There's also enough spare parts to rebuild everything. It's designed to be as efficient as possible, and as self-sufficient as possible. There IS some equipment in storage to collect and process asteroids for parts (very limited), water, or minerals for Hydroponics. It could survive a very long time. There is also a magnetic radiation shield around the ship.

Accepted, but keep in mind the president want the opinion of everyone on Alpha. Why? Because it directly affects their mission.

Accepted, but you're not 'super'. Also, you do have a MK-5 solar suit (Military space suit) and the composite armor. Please specify which kind of weapon you are using (or not, doesn't honestly matter. I would prefer specification however)

INFO INCOMING: The MK-5 Solar Suit is technically the worlds's first powered armor. Designed for use in space and in hostile atmospheres, it features all the armor of Personal Composite Armor in an all-environment, easy-to-move in suit. It does feature an integrated H.U.D and some basic artificial muscles, as well as a self-sealing system, but nothing fancy. PCA also has the H.U.D and muscles, so the Solar Suit is just for space.

Name: Amelia Katayama

Role: Demolition

Personality: Indifferent and realistic, according to herself. Cold and pessimistic, according to others. She don't really get mad, nor really ecstatic, but look close enough and you might see her smile once in a while. Especially if something has just been turned into a fine, red-and-orange cloud.

Standard equipment: Milkor MLG, MP-7, C4 and detonator, and of course PCA and MK-5.

Skills: Demolition in general, chemistry, some physics and engineering (you gotta know how and why stuff goes boom, right?), and some marksmanship. Decent shot with a pistol. Also good with a computer, but even today that's a bit like saying "I'm great at reading books, y'know", even more so in the 20s.

Background: Born and raised in the Japanese countryside by a Japanese mother and an American father. After finishing her education, she started blowing stuff up for an Indonesian terrorist organization, more for the thrill and the cash than their political goals, seeing as she herself had never been one for politics. She was imprisoned by the American government for a brief period after a failed attempt at blowing up the Burj Khalifa, but after learning her story and motives, someone in the FBI decided that with the right encouragement, she could be an asset to the US Army.

Description: She looks Japanese, as you'd expect, but also with some Western elements. Kinda short, blue eyes and black hair. Sorta thin, but not weak; a former career in Indonesian terrorism keeps you fit enough, and the US Army makes sure you stay in shape.

Nuke the Scar (Y/N): "Yeah, definitely. What's the real downside anyway?"

Skills: Nothing particularly notable, aside from high amounts of willpower.

Background: Arnold was a fairly normal person, got mediocre grades in everything, but decided that it would be cool to join the military, from there his sheer willpower drove him forward through the ranks, until he made Alpha.

Description: Slightly muscley, but not too muscley, 186 cm, longish hair that reaches down to the tip of his nose when pulled down, brown eyes... (I'm not good with physical descriptions...)

Name: Agatha Mitchel

Role: Scout

Personality: Wolfish, a bit swanky, but always reliable.

Standard equipment: Jackhammer Mk.VIA1, Sting TPG (Taser Projectile Gun), Bulletproof Vest, Strength Enhancers in the legs, MK-5 Solar Suit, "Hermes' Boots" a special system below the feet, which, when activated, trigger a small explosion, which provides a higher, or "double" jump in low-G environments, needs fuel, can not be used that often

Skills: She is extremely fast, thanks to a high-tech prosthesis, which replaces her left leg, great situational awareness,

Background: Agatha was raised in the countryside and had to work a lot during her childhood, which gave her excellent physical strength. She was the most athletic child in the town and was running in championships all across the states. When Agatha was old enough, she went to the military and had a top training, which quickly brought her into the elite units. She served for 6 years, when she had an incident, which changed her life forever. She did a routine mission, when she stepped on a VERY old mine, which was buried in the sand for nearly 45 years. When she woke up in a hospital, her left leg was already amputated. She continued to serve in the military, until she got contacted by the research division, they were testing prostheses and needed somebody, who could test the mind-machine connection. The prosthesis is made of artificial muscles, which are much stronger then biological ones. She then went back to active service, and after another year of service got integrated into Alpha.

Description: Rather short, bald, ice-blue eyes, pale, the face looks a bit childlike,

Nuke the Scar (Y/N): We ain't gonna nuke that!

You can just have a small heel-booster thing, you know Julo...
Mk-5 Solar Suit also has advanced RCS, very fast, so yeah.

All three accepted. Keep in mind that almost -nothing- is beyond present-day technology.
Also edited: Hallix is now commanding officer

INFORMATION UPDATE:

//FROM: NASA Mission Control\\
I'm sure you already received the data from the last satellite as you approached. If not, understandable. It's difficult to wire them to your ship when their computers are 50 years old.

We have intel on the Scar. A lot of activity down there. We have multiple power signatures--likely power generators--and a lot of construction. Seems they're gearing up for something. Every satellite that images the Scar has been shot down so far; we know they're hostile, and we know they have defensive installations.

We cannot guarantee anything, because we've never seen anything quite like this, nor do we know much about them at all. The Nuclear Drone ship arrived in orbit one hour ago and is awaiting your command. Fire or not, it's your call. You don't need to worry about radiation.

The president, of course, still strongly recommends a nuclear bombardment before going down. But i'm leaving the call to you, Alpha. We have faith in your decision.

And here, we, go.

Vanidan pushed off from the back of the control room, floating towards the main control panel, slowly rotating. He was in his usual uniform; grey with red highlights. The insignia of Alpha was branded on the left. He grabbed onto the panel's railing and pulled himself down into the chair, strapped himself in, and surveyed the various monitors. No new contacts, no new incidents to report, 30 minutes to course correction burn. He cracked his knuckles; might as well start the burn now. The Ion thruster's thrust was so low it would take hours anyway. He flicked a few switches and tapped a button. "Vanidan to crew. Course correction burn beginning in 60 seconds. Be sure to secure all loose items. That means you, Sasha. No flying scalpels." He grasped the control stick and eased it towards the navigation vector before throttling up. The blue ion engines stayed dark. He counted down the 60 seconds and then activated the engines, which silently flicked on and began propelling the ship.

//INFO TIME\\
I'm working on a deck plan, but until I finish, here's the general idea;
There's three decks. Center has the critical stuff, the bottom has a drop-ship, airlock, some stuff, and the top has two space fighters (also work in atmosphere) and some other stuff. In the very center of the ship is a large centrifuge, hollow of course, that is aligned with the ship's axis. It connects to the rest of the ship via two hatches on the top and bottom, and has 4 emergency doors on the exterior of the ring to connect to the rest of the ship. Why the centrifuge? It's the crew quarters, made to mitigate the effects of micro-gravity. And in a punch, the ship can use it to practically turn around instantly by bleeding off it's speed. In any combat situation, the ring is stopped and the emergency doors opened to prevent a catastrophic failure. The very exterior of the ring is about 0.7 G, while the interior section is about 0.4 G. I'm detailing the floor plans and their equipment now.

Also, there are only two windows, both in non-critical, secure locations. For observation. Windows are structural weaknesses. Ship functions are performed almost entirely by instruments and cameras.

Name: Named Cain, but prefers Janos (Or anything else that's not Cain)

Role: Provisional technician/engineer, combat.

Personality: Cain was indoctrinated by government since "birth," but proved to be tragically freespirited. He harbors resentment for the US government, but is able to focus on the less personal, more consequential task. Empathetic, pleasant enough, but usually stays quiet.

Standard equipment:
Solar MK-5
PCA-B Custom (Custom weapon hardpoints, electrical contact points, altered computer program)
XR-1b Compact Railgun (designed and made en route to the Scar)
Sidearm
2 Low-Yield EMP grenades
3 MK4a Concussion grenadesi
Induction-heated composite sword
Standard combat knife
Custom shredder/AP ammunition compatible with standard sidearm
Railgun slugs.

Skills: Genius, proficient in several martial arts, high-level fencer, combat training, technical training

Background: Cain's history is code-Black, eyes-only classified, but he has no qualms against telling the rest of Alpha. He was a result of experimental eugenic engineering by a government-contracted corporation. The goal of the long-running project was to create a clonable, near-perfect human: a supersoldier template. Cain was named such because he absorbed his half-brother (who was afterward dubbed Abel) in their shared amniotic vat during gestation. They were meant to be the second-to-last in their line of selectively bred humans. During his childhood and adolescence, he learned to evade the computer security systems in order to obtain whatever wasn't offered to him. He also planned escape several times, but never acted on them and took on the facade of being an obedient subject. Unfortunately (at least for the project), Cain was diagnosed with a recently-discovered genetic condition that rendered continuation impossible. His training, intelligence, and other attributes made him a perfect candidate for Alpha. Instead of immediately terminating him, they decided to be rid of him via suicide mission. After release, he took the name "Janos." He is nineteen years old.

Description: Relatively short with an athletic build, pale complexion, dark grey eyes, light blonde hair kept long.

Nuke the Scar: "Tell them I'll do whatever it takes to fulfill my orders."
