If there were a stat-based RP, I would play along, to try out whether it works better or worse than word-based RP.
So far, we've managed to figure out all our balancing-related issues in the word based RP without needing stats. If a numbers RP can do better than that without being too complicated for the average player to not loose the big picture, I'd be in for it, but some actual proof would be nice.
So far, experience has shown that semi-anarchic words RPs last the longest.
