[Meta] Research has begun on nuclear missiles and shells with the capability to phase through subspace past enemy shielding. Research is primarily going into effectively-miniaturizing the subspace cores and still retaining accuracy and decent range beyond a few km. Cores have been miniaturized enough before, but suffer from a very short range or are wildly inaccurate. Once developed, these will be shipped to every military ship and made to be standard weaponry. [/Meta]

//AUF News//

Long-Range sensor stations have noted the disappearance of the Stauros reading from their sensors, and efforts to relocate it have been met with no success. Experts believe the station has been moved.

The Garda system has been placed under a full military lockdown for reasons not stated by the government. This may be related to the anomalous sensor readings from the Nebula earlier this week. The system is under a full media blackout; no ships are entering or leaving, and no transmissions are getting through.

Jahgrin walked besides the Novan commander, heading down the hall through his ship to the main transport matrix. The Novan commander was a bit surprised by the whole ship, but nevertheless remained composed as Jahgrin led him through the ship. Jahgrin waved at a closed door in front of him and it silently slid open, seamlessly integrating with the frame. He stepped inside to a hemispherical room with about 8 archways aligned against the wall; each had a command console on the side. The room was just as angular as the rest of the ship, but composed of a much darker metal "The teleportation matrix," Jahgrin said. None of the archways were active.

"And how did you get all of this?" The commander asked.

"The ARK stations. I'll show you."

"You got all this technology from the ARK stations?" The commander seemed skeptical.

"Yes. These stations are different. I'll explain along the way." Jahgrin walked over to the console directly opposite of the door and began typing commands on it's interface before gesturing at the archway. The archway pulsed with light briefly before reforming to show a close to identical room on the other side. Jahgrin motioned to the commander and walked through. The commander followed and the archway shut off after him. From the air itself, it was clear they were somewhere else. Jahgrin waved at the door in front of him and it slid open, squeaking slightly as it moved. It was not as new as anything else. The hallway beyond was definitely not NeoRoman; it was more mechanical and less sleek than anything else. Pipes, wiring, everything was exposed on the sides. The floor was a slightly rusty metal, a steel catwalk over the machinery and technology of the hallway. "ARK station number 8754," Jahgrin said as he walked through. "The first we discovered, and the first to open up to us."

"Open up?"

"Precisely." Jahgrin rounded a corner, a hallway even longer than this one and just as mechanical. Gears were whirring on the right side. "When we arrived, the Hierarchy, the stations contacted us."

"What do you mean by that?"

"We didn't know then, and we know now. But first, some explanations are in order. The ARK stations were not designed to be Arks as we once believed. They were designed to destroy all sentient life, for eternity."

"Destroy sentient life? Why?" The commander asked. Jahgrin waved at the next door and it slid open. Beyond it was a large rectangular room, filled with multiple pillars of electronics and tech. Databanks.

"To ensure the domination of the species that built them, once they returned. If there were no contenders to the universe, they could have it for themselves." Jahgrin waved at the next door at the end of the databank room, revealing another hallway."But the stations didn't work. They evolved. Their AIs changed. In the Milky Way, I believe they deactivated when PRIME-1 was destroyed, and only reactivate if we make them." Jahgrin waved at the next door at the end of the databank room, revealing another hallway. "Here in NGC 1300, it split into two ARK networks. The original network, and the network we control now." Jahgrin turned right as the hallway split into 4 more.

"You control half the network?"

"It's closer to one third, actually. But yes, we control it. This network performs the opposite function, protecting sentients. Which is why we control it now."

"And what about the other network?"

"This network and the other NGC 1300 network have been at war for an untold amount of time. From what PRIME-8754 told us, there use to be nearly 50 evolutionary networks, all at war with each other due to conflicting interests. Now there are only two. We fight daily against the main network, keeping them at bay."

"You're fighting it?"

"Yes, and it's a tough fight. Without the technology we gained from ARK 8754, we'd have lost long ago. Nothing we ever made in the Milky Way can stand up to an ARK network spanning an entire galaxy." Jahgrin waved as they approached another door, and it slid open. This time, it opened into a massive spherical room. Suspended in the center was a rapidly spinning metal orb, covered in details and panels, and kept aloft by two energy beams at it's axes. A catwalk connecting door they just entered ended in a small platform with monitors and computers. "This is PRIME 8754. From here we can open a wormhole to the Milky Way and help you with your war." He approached the consoles, and they lit up as he approached. The commander followed him.

PRIME 8754 was expecting them.

Strigiforme ringworld construction has resumed, and military ship production has been relaxed somewhat. The ringworld is primarily being built from in-system materials, but the ships that would normally produce the required materials were designated to produce strike craft instead. As of now, the ringworld is 15% complete. It is being built on a super shield ring base, vastly reducing construction time.

[meta]All [Species name deleted] have been brought to the Stauros, where they will undergo advanced science to further the goals of the Strigiforme Empire. Their high psionic potential will aid the Strigiforme in developing the anti-psionic virus, as well as some other projects that are being developed. The Strigiforme have also begun constructing a jump-gate to the galaxy where the [Species name deleted] went to.[/meta]

--NGC 1300--

"So, just to confirm. You're now the dominant technological power in the four galaxies, are engaged in a war with the ARK network, the purpose of which was completely misunderstood, and managed all of this with less than thirty percent of your original population?"

Jahgrin nodded, once. "In essence? Yes."

Mayala shook her head. "And we were wondering just how much of a springboard you gave the AUF. Bloody hell... wait one," she said, stepping back and raising a hand to her earpiece.

Listening, she shook her head slightly. "Understood. It seems," she directed the comment to Jahgrin, "The Novans and Strigiforme have signed a peace treaty. Though, to be perfectly honest, I doubt the peace will last."

Pausing, she frowned a moment. "We can give you an ansible from our ship to maintain contact, if you wish; but unless you state otherwise, my ship's presence here and our contact will remain classified."

"What is it now."
"It's done."
"What do you mean 'it's done'?"
"We've finished the ministation, it's as ready as we can get ti."
"We're not done until we know where Stauros is."
"Sir?"
"You haven't heard? Long range scans are no longer detecting it. We can't shoot what we can't see."
"To be frank with you sir, maybe the station could help us find it. If we launch it now, we can begin using its sensor banks."
"Why does it have sensor banks you believe are capable of finding Stauros?"
"It... it wouldn't activate without them."

As the civilian population has somewhat stabilized, the MR has decided to delay the construction of the titan and instead rebuild the GAIA planet-buster. Upon being asked how they were planning to do so, an official stated: "The construction is actually rather simple. Its construction cost will propably be around the cost of a battlecruiser. It's the fireing that's expensive."

//Encrypted message to NC//
We would like to offer you 20 Chaos Emerald warheads.
The Chaos Emeralds used in them are unstable, meaning they can no longer savely be used for energy generation, but still work well in warheads. We believe they could be used more effectively by you, considering you actually have an effective delivery method with your hyperspace missile array.
Those warheads are capable of making a continent-sized area unhabitable until cleanup with MR psionic tech. (other psionically advanced cultures, like the Ryytil, will not be able to clean up due to Chaos Emerald-like levels of psionic power being required to even get close to ground zero)
//end of message//

//message to Strigiforme//
You propably noticed that the fallout of the Chaos Emerald bombs dropped around the start of the latest war can not be cleaned up with your abilities, makign a large part of several of your planets unhabitable.
We offer you to clean it up, under a certain price, of course.
(OOC: send PM if interested)

Jahgrin read over the terms of the peace treaty on the holographic display in front of him. "It seems like an extremely biased treaty, commander," he said. "Why would you ever accept this?"

"We didn't want to get bogged down in a war against the Strigiforme, Imperium, and UGC that we couldn't win," the commander replied.

"The acceptance of the peace treaty," said a mechanical, yet feminine voice, "was ideal for the Novan's survival, but unfortunately left the Strigiforme with no real loss." The Novan commander seemed a bit startled, looking around the AI core room.

"Don't be alarmed," Jahgrin said, suppressing a laugh. "This is PRIME 8754."

"Please," the voice said, "call me Providence."

"Providence, eh?" the commander said. "Why do I get the feeling that you've been monitoring us?"

"Because we have," responded Providence. "Just before the onset of the war, we were able to gain rudimentary access to some of the ARK stations present in your sector. Not full control, but some sensor and communications range. We accomplished this using old NeoRoman probes and delivered a powerful computer virus to the ARKs, overriding most systems." The Novan commander sighed. "In addition, your offer of an ansible is unnecessary." The commander looked surprised.

"Why?" he asked.

"We can communicate with the ARK stations there in real time, and thus instantly relay messages to you." Jahgrin moved to the console in front of him and began typing commands. He brought up a rendering of Stauros station, as well as the weapon energy data.

"This Strigiforme construct then," Jahgrin started. "It wipes out computer systems."

"Precisely, and it levels the playing field for those damned owls," the commander responded.

"Analysis indicates a 95% likelihood of the weapon being fully capable of wiping out an ARK station," Providence chimed in. "But given it's firing speed, it is not capable of wiping out multiple targets in different areas at once."

"From what I can tell," Jahgrin said, "It has to interact with a Strigiforme super-shield before it becomes a weapon. Commander, were there any ships unaffected by the Stauros energy?"

"No," the commander said, "But there were multiple low orbit satellites within blast range that didn't suffer at all." Jahgrin thought for a second.

"Given the necessity of the super shield," Providence said, "The weapon energy likely requires shielding systems in order to interact properly." Jahgrin typed in a few more commands. After a few seconds, the commander's data-pad updated with several files.

"Well," Jahgrin said, turning around, "We cannot justify sending military ships to aid you any longer, not with the war over. And we need every ship we have over here to repel the ARK network." Jahgrin waved at the console and it shut off. "However, we can provide information and analysis, and some limited technological support."

"Limited?" The commander asked.

"You're galaxy is extremely fractured and not very cooperative," Providence said. "It would be irresponsible to provide excessive technology to your sector until everyone can work together." The commander sighed.

"So what can you give us?"

"We can send with you a wormhole key," Jahgrin said. "It will allow any ship of your choosing to enter black holes and travel through the wormhole within each."

"Stellar mass black holes will only link to black holes within the same galaxy," Providence said. "Only supermassive black holes will link to another galaxy." The commander raised his hand slightly. "Before you ask, yes, the Milky Way galactic core links to the NGC 1300 galactic core."

"It may be of use to you." Jahgrin said. "We'll load it upon your ship. Keep in mind that reproducing it is beyond your capabilities, so don't bother attempting to recreate it." Jahgrin waved at the console, and the entire platform began rotating, along with the catwalk, along the hollow spherical room. It rotated approximately 90 degrees before stopping at another door. This door opened to reveal a teleportation matrix room, but slightly different in form. It only held one archway. "The gate inside that room will transport you back to the bridge of your ship. After that, we will open a wormhole for you to return back to Novan space."

Kek? Show me the post when you dropped them, Ivan, or it didn't happen.

The Strigiforme have begun settling 2 of the Novan worlds. The others have been turned over to UGC control as per the treaty. Strigiforme fleets have restarted regular patrol operations, assisting standard Strigiforme Border Patrol cutters.

So how many unblockable weapon deployment devices do you have? Fen, can you stop him from just spamming OP unblockable long range weapons?

The MR offer has been declined. Ryytils psionic specialists have been deployed to find a solution. [meta]The [species name deleted] are being interrogated about the nature of these weapons and their after affects.[/meta]
