Weaponry : 12x multi purpose turrets , frontal 1x 2500mm railcannon,12x PD-Xaser weapons [Point Defense]

The Squire is a brand new creation of the Darkstar Shipyards. With a modular function in mind,the Squire was created to be readily available to all kinds of shipyards. Capable of being easily operated by a unexperienced crew [Militias and the such ] ,the main function is to be built by frontier colonies to do the patrol. Modular,any shipyard with the right know-how can build it,and can do almost any kind of function. Cheap,any start-up colony with the necessary equipment can build one or buy one ver cheaply .

The military uses the "Knight"-class configuration

12x 560mm autocannons,frontal 1x2500mm railcannon,6x lateral hadron cannons,4xJAVELIN torpedo tubes

OOC: While not being very specialized as the usual military,and being aimed to the civillian market,its not a main fleet ship. Think of it as a militia of the middle ages : It is used to bolster bigger fleets because can be built in vast amounts very fast,but its not strong as a "profissional" military ship. Can be customized to many roles,a true "workhorse"

Darkstar is producing a new batch of the new Squire class ships,to bolster the frontier defenses,mainly at Draco,with the fast expansion

A large amount of the Draco area has been mapped and tagged with claim markers, The government is making large profits through the selling of claims to private and public industries. Millions of claims have been sold for various natural phenomenon and there are over 300 registered frontier worlds with some form of settlement on them.

The genetics station in Draco has been completed and is immediately entering service for government projects.

The first wave of forcefully decommissioned ships began a descent into Stauros, which by now had gained a noticeable dent in it.
((Should the slipspace drive and the generators, especially on older model ships, not have the proper shutdown time given, will explode violently. Explosions of said devices have led to more than one of the losses today.))
Reinforcements are en route, but will not be arriving anytime soon due to the immense complexity of plotting a slipspace course through the jungle that is Strigiforme territory.
And even then, there are no guarantees a single ship will even make it past.

The thousands of CIWS and antiship guns on the Stauros have been firing nonstop, and the Hexalani forces have shown considerable losses, as they are essentially engaging a fully operational Death Star. The Stauros' multi kilometer thick armour was now dented, but has no true structural damage, as the internal firing mechanisms are still operational. Additionally, a garrison fleet from a nearby system has arrived, with several more directly behind.

The Wolfguard starbase is being prepared for the Tajer event. While not being a U.G.C base,it is a sign of goodwill from Darkstar to "borrow it" to the Tajer event[meta] The special device CHARIOT is being installed at the station and the POLTERGEIST squads are standing-by for the security [/meta]


Darkstar is holding up in territory aquisition,not going into a faster pace than the Tajer,but not staying behind either,investing in infraestruture [Quality,not quantity] of the colonies being settled. The monopoly of many resources in the system is leading to minor skirmishes in the "business war" with other small corporations,many ending being anexed to Darkstar.

The new military aquisition,the Squire-class pocket cruiser is proving to be a good ship for general patrolling of the frontier system. Cheap to build,its being produced en masse to be the standard "military police" of the Draco-colonization effort.

Decrease in border guards? Are you high or something? The Stauros is in the middle of Strigiforme space, nowhere near any border. The ships are being pulled from planetary fleets in the inner Strigiforme space. Pulling them from the border would take ages and accomplish nothing.

Use psionics, they have already been established, can be produced in genetical engineering (if samples of psionic DNA have been analyzed to gain the required information to do so correctly) and don't require a new mechanic to be introduced. Unles if here, "biotics" is just a term for genetically engineered psionics used by Darkstar, in that case, ignore the above.

The Commonwealth has halted production of all new Naval vessels save the Titan; these resources and personnel are now being directed to Aquaria, which has been very lightly inhabited for some years.

The planet's continents will be converted to massive factories, mining stations, and production and research areas; the islands will be converted to shipyards and defense platforms.

The profit generated by Draco colonization is being used to the construction of shipyards,mainly on a small sector of space that will be now called by the codename Kasterbury. The main function of the system will be now construction of ships,staging area for the Home Guard fleets and "foward operation" against any kind of invasion. It will produce fuel,train personell and will be home of a Starbase,drydocks,defenses and small colonies on the ice planet Iceni..

Ship production in outer systems is steady,increasing the amount of ships to the so called Border Defense Initiative,a para-military group made by conscripts of the border colonies ,funded and trained by Darkstar to repel minor invasions and pirates.

Squire-class modular frigates are very cheap to build,and compose the majority of the fleet arsenal.
Decomissioned Wolfhound carriers,Ironshield frigates and Everest cruisers are being slowly fitted into the fleet arsenal.
