With a massive psionic roar, Chaos pulled the Ark out of Gyyges and jumped into singularity space, headed directly to ARK-1. It arrived without warning, and before it could react, Chaos had pulled ARK-1 and the surrounding fleet into the space between dimensions.

He would be dealing with them personally.

A second wave of ARK ships have begun attacking, with four ARK stations backing them up at the line. These ships are recently produced; fully functional, but due to their hasty construction, are not top of the line. They are superior to the initial wave, however, and slightly smaller.

Sword of Damocles has located the D-ARK via subspace signature tracking; it is resuming bombardment, and all available Prowlers are enroute to the system under stealth drive.

Ah, that's ok then. But please note the Strig aren't the Hexalani; they don't have thousands of ships.

The remaining Strigiforme forces have left, moving to other systems to reinforce them there. Shields are being placed on high alert in all systems, and the Novans are being warned to cease their aggressive actions. The Ringworld has postponed firing the anomalous gateway, and some minimal information received with the package has indicated that it may make an optimal projectile due to the percieved invulnerability of the gate.

The Strigiforme have been told that the Novans are firing on D-ARK, and the PM added an addendum telling the avians to "Fuck off or start shooting ARKs."

The Nova Cannon is being readied for another shot.

The MR has released an official statement regarding the Strigiforme request to "cease hostilities":
If the Strigiforme do not recognize the ARK threat, the MR will cease to attack the D-ARK while it is inside Strigiforme territory. While the Superweapon are being readied for fireing again, they will only do so when the D-ARK leaves Strigiforme space or the Strigiforme request UGC help.

In the meantime, the MR fleet has regrouped and is being reinforced with additional ships just produced.
DEFCON 1 has been officially declared.

OOC: The Strig are literally the most short-sighted and/or dumbest critters ever to achieve spaceflight; it took THEM several years to build Stauros. The Commonwealth, with a rather smaller industrial base, suddenly pulls a 5-AU-diameter station out of its ass? Your intelligence and strategic minds are useless.

I highly suspect the higher-ups are well-aware of the ARKs being real and just want to grab all the possible CBs in order to continue their imperialism.

The problem is that since the Strigiforme refuse to officially recognize the existance of an ARK-related threat ot the galaxy, them playing politics is enough to force anyone who doesn't want this to turn into a multiple-front-war (D-ARK, Strigiforme, and everyone else facing off each other in a battle royale), which would make it almost impossible to make any achievements, into playing politics as well.

With a roar, ARK-1s shields came online, these were no conventional shields, they did not block bullets, lasers, or anything else, rather they enveloped the ARK in distorted space, anything passing through the shields would be thrown back out the other side. However this meant they couldn't fire anything out of ARK-1.

But this was no issue, there was nothing to shoot at here, Chaos could not assume any tangible form here, physics was completely undefined in this limbo between dimensions. Matter would respond to the will of any intelligent life forms, only such a dimension could harbour Chaos, what they had witnessed was merely a projection of Chaos' being. Killing the projection would not kill Chaos, killing... This, would.

The ARKs systems were mostly defunct here, only the subspace cores could have any tangible effect. But if Omega could reach the surface, and re-connect him self to the ARK (all systems being defunct means Omega's remote control doesn't work). If he had he raw processing power of the ARK he might stand a chance against Chaos. The subspace deflectors would hold for a shirt while, but not forever.

Th escape pods on the Archetype were non-functional, as were the doors. Omega pounded on the door to the bridge, but to no avail. He would have to try something else. Omega pictured the door as non-existent, and sure enough it responded, disappearing into thin air.

Maybe they stood a chance after all.

A hastily assembled and crewed (literally, these ships are "hot off the press", so to speak) battlegroup of Broadswords and Hermes frigates have arrived in Draco as reinforcements. The Emperor's Will II is being mobilized and is estimated to arrive at the Draco battle in less than 10 hours.

The new battlegroup arrived at the Draco battle with weapons armed. Being new crews, the weapons took a little longer than usual to charge, but it mattered little. With thousands of flashes, the battlegroup lent its considerable fire support to the Darkstar ships. Commander Vilius of the battlegroup transmitted, "Darkstar ships, this is Commander Vilius. The Emperor's Will will be here soon. We need to hold out at all costs."

Research is going into weapons and shielding. Interesting designs of a haarpon-like projectile weapon are being studied,as well as the overall efficiency of standard weapons.
