Well, one thing that immediately comes to mind is that we can see it if we look up.

But actually I've developed the Batii quite a bit since this thread was posted.

The batii are cephalic, bipedal organisms ranging from 1.5 to 2.8 meters in height and 40 and 125 kilograms. They have a digitigrade leg structure, large ears, quartered irises, two sets of eyelids, several internal organ redundancies, and are almost entirely covered in fine fur. Their blood is rich in hemocyanins, which gives it a magenta or purple hue. It also causes the batii to be prone to methemoglobinemia and hypoxia. The hand has five fingers, two of which are apposable/opposable thumbs. The foot has five metatarsal digits: three toes and two heel analogs.

There are several subspecies, each with identifying characteristics. This is a quick, sketchy depiction of one of those subspecies with a broad, angular head, wide-set eyes, and a large mouth.
