Aboard the Zuguthian diplomatic cruiser, Zuguth was standing by a window, looking back at the debris.
"It's a shame, really." he said to an officer.
"We never got to learn the secrets of whatever long-lost civilization built this thing."
The officer spoke up.
"I'm sure there are other traces of them out there, Sir."
There was a moment of silence.
"Send messages to the other factions apologizing about my behavior. The psionics really made a mess of my mind."
"Yes, Sir."
"And now, if you excuse me, I'd like to be alone for a moment to gather my thoughts."
He stared out into the open space.
"After all, it's not every day you get an end like this."
"It's a shame, really." he said to an officer.
