Introduction
Unless you've been living under a rock your entire life, you have most certainly heard of NeoRome. Always involved in galactic politics, always at the forefront of technology, and strangely, always getting blown up in some way or another. Due to ignorance in the galactic community, a great deal of resentment has sprung up towards NeoRomans, whether due to their 'alien customs' or their 'unorthodox views,' when in reality, they are similar in a number of ways to everyone else (except perhaps the illusive Strigiforme, but they're a whole different story). This guide was written with this resentment in mind, for a great deal of it is undeserved, and it's colorful history and vibrant culture is a topic worth studying.

Politics and Government
Politics and Government
The Hierarchy is the main ruling body of NeoRome. Composing of thousands of members, the government oversees everything that occurs in NeoRome. Very little occurs in NeoRome without the Hierarchy knowing about it, and countless regulations and laws are in place to keep both the government and people in check.
Government Structure
The government is ordered in a tiered 'Hierarchy,' hence the name, with each level consolidating more power and less members.
Lower Echelon
The Lower Echelon is the lowest level of the government, but not truly part of the Hierarchy. These compose of local governments and administrations, with power extending not far past individual cities or provinces on planets. Unlike the rest of the Hierarchy, the Lower Echelon is not as regulated; citizens are free to choose their own form of government at this local level without intervention from the government. For this reason, you may see many different governments throughout NeoRome, from Dictatorships to Oligarchies. To prevent corruption in the Lower Echelon, extensive balance measures are taken to ensure that the local governments comply to standards set by the Hierarchy. These ensure the well-being of the people and their continued participation in the Hierarchy. Due to these measures and the requirement of political presence for each citizen, nearly every city is democratic; few cities can meet all requirements under, say, a dictatorship.
While they generally manage their own affairs and city planning, they still comply and follow regulations and laws imposed by the Hierarchy. Regardless of government type or status, they must accept the standard of human rights and the basic codes written by the Hierarchy; failure to do so will necessitate the replacement of the Lower Echelon government. The Hierarchy may also step in occasionally to get something done or rewrite something; for example, the construction of a mass-transit network the government has been unable to, or the removal of an unfair law.
Regardless of government, each Lower Echelon government elects one Planetary Echelon Councilor. These councilors represent each city or province in the next level of the government.

Military
Military
The NeoRoman Military is one of the most extensive military forces in the galaxy, on par with Strigiforme forces, which is to say a lot. Under the NeoRoman Declassification Act, the specifications and other details on every NeoRoman ship is freely available, though exact specifics on technology and ships remains classified to the government. In addition, any experimental hardware that is classified has to be declassified after 10 years in use, in order to prevent extensive government secrecy about the military. In this chapter, we will go over every class of NeoRoman ship in active service, as well as outlining the technology frequently in use aboard these ships.
Ships
The NeoRoman Military has tens of thousands of ships, though many are decommissioned or in reserve. There have been thousands of different NeoRoman classes, and many of them are extremely ancient and outdated. We will only go over recent ship classes and those still in active service.
Frigates
N.R.S Halifax II Class Frigate
Side view of the Halifax
The Halifax II was designed only a standard year ago to replace the aging Halifax frigate used for nearly 50 years. It currently accounts for 30% of all frigate in use by the military today, in no small part due to it's versatility, speed, and offensive power. You can often see the Halifax II alone in small border patrols or accompanying larger ships in great numbers. Don't be fooled by it's small size; it's a ship to be feared.

Re: The NeoRoman Hierarchy
Opening for discussion; Error, if you could remove your first post so I can have an unbroken series, that would be excellent.
Still texturing more ships; Will post them as I complete them.
EDIT: nevermind error, you got it before I said.

I wish I was cool enough to justify 6 posts :<
In all seriousness, I look forward to where you go with this given your skills in the literary arts and eye for detail. Six posts full of info about NeoRome would be interesting indeed

Re: The NeoRoman Hierarchy
They are not normal windows. Arconic alloy is nearly completely transparent, with a slight bluish tint on the exterior side. The only reason the entire ship isn't transparent is due to composite layering of steel, titanium, and arconic alloy. Arconic alloy is very strong; at these windows, it is triple-layered and buffered with approximately 50 cm of vacuum space between each layer.
Remember; windows are structural weaknesses. Geth do not use them. (regular windows).

Re: The NeoRoman Hierarchy
Windows imply light can travel through it, meaning the material has a low enough density for light to go through it. Therefor it is still majorly weak, I won't argue with it though you made a fancy word for it and these ships don't seem to be really large class.Professor Fenway wrote:They are not normal windows. But then again, il just use lasers to boil your crew alive and gain me a new ship.
