Jesus how many times have we done this?

@ivan : moat of the points of light that are visible on the map aren't individual stars, they're clusters. The galaxy is a hundred thousand lightyears across, most of the territories are thousands of light years. Interstellar disturbances have basically no effect from cluster to cluster, the chance of a gamma ray burst hitting one specific planet, even in the same cluster, are literally astronomical. Even a hupernova wouldn't have much of an effect on its own cluster unless the systems were very close together.

We've done this 2 or 3 times, for every time a new RP came up.

Cats, please consider not arguing for a roleplay wipe if you're not active in the current RP.
This puts you in a situation where such a decision would not have any negative effects on you at all while most people effected would have to stop the current RP, resulting in you looking like a selfish *.

I'm pretty sure you aren't tho, but just putting things in perspective here.

I'm going to argue whatever and whenever I want. The current RP doesn't matter because there won't be any lasting impact because the lore isn't structured enough to allow any. Stop using the current RP as leverage because it doesnt matter and it won't matter. Stop trying to be a fucking white knight of reason for a game that doesn't matter past the thread it's in and a broken lore that doesn't even make sense anymore.

I'm done. I'm throwing in the towel. Advocating for something more than a pretentious, juvenile game, It's become too frustrating. This RP sub that I once loved, that once was the only thread fastening me to this forum, is dead to me. This will be my last post in this sub.

Since this will be my last post, (though perhaps a little misplaced) I suppose I should clear the air a bit, then. Excuse me if I'm being melodramatic, but I've poured a lot of effort and emotion into the RPs.

I guess I had a good run until the end, I'm pretty sure I had the most RPs written and GMed, even if most of them didn't last four pages. I mostly blame myself for that. I could've done better. I always could have done better. It never happened how I wanted it to. The scenarios I'd written, the characters I'd made, they were all too real for me, more written for my sake than the RP itself, I suppose. I always made too many rules, too many contingencies that I expected everyone to follow; a certain outcome, a certain method, a certain level of writing I expected everyone to live up to. None of them worked out.

Even though I've never really participated in any empire RPs for multiple reasons, I've put so much effort into the Batiss Combine, formerly the Technocratic Socialist Republic prior to me realizing that that was a terrible name. This is it's death, too. Along with the Feles (I was considering changing the name of the race because it's too close to cat), the Wandering Fleet of the Gerengi (which I was never able to work with as much as I wanted to), and all of the characters that I so badly wanted to be canon. I'm not going to write a history, of course, because no one would read it anyway, but a brief eulogy was appropriate, I think.

Karesh Ni, Shi Ker, Terasov, Violet, Amelia, And all the rest of those characters that were and weren't FC universe canon. Rest until you're needed again. I know they don't matter to you, but they sure as hell mattered to me. Who isn't a little upset when characters die, especially when you made them and are killing them yourself? And with permanence that transcends the texts in which they exist?

I should've been a better GM, I should've taken action when I had the chance. There were just too many ideas, too many details. I'm sorry. I'll say that designing for the Flan's pack is really the only reason I'm staying on the forum right now. I once said I'd stay until the forum dies completely, but it looks like I might have to go back on my word. I hope the RP section someday improves itself to a point where I can reanimate the Combine and the rest, maybe I won't be gone by then. At least my faction never made enough of an impact, no one will have to play my role and soil the Batiss' name.

I can't say I won't miss GMing, even if I was shitty.

Please don't respond to this, past this point I'm going to try not to check this thread, and I'll only check the sub periodically.
