Very interesting, especially the part where you thought I was seriously trying to infiltrate you. That would be silly.ACH0225 wrote:... let alone take orders to spy; this means that infiltrating the Strigiforme as a species is exceedingly impossible.

I'm going to be honest. A lot of the current lore is kind of dumb. That's not the only reason to restart from scratch with a new system, but I mean... c'mon.
E: @Error Everyone's invested into their nation, you're no different. It's not like you'd have to start from nothing and build an entirely new faction. Since I'm being honest today, I can't even recall your nation's name. So unless you step down from your pedestal we're going to be stuck with the same shitty lore.

I'm keeping my faction if we restart.

Exactly, although mine could use a touch up here and there...Daynel wrote:I'm keeping my faction if we restart.

Strigiforme never changes. No exceptions, but I like and know the current lore.

You can change the universe, but I'll stay.
I have spent too much time building the MQR and its lore to just drop it.

Re: Futurecraft Universe Canon and Discussion
In our current system, your backstory hardly matters, even if it was intertwined with others. Without a relative timeline, it's futile, and it's almost just as much work to make an in-depth timeline of every faction and interactions between them as it is to completely redesign the lore. That aside, I'd like something with a little more seriousness, something that we can use for the actual mod (luls) or servers or the Flan's pack or the RTS that may or may not still be happening, something that is worthy of having its own universe.

Re: Futurecraft Universe Canon and Discussion
Cats, you are aware that creating something for use in a server or RTS or what have you is pretty pointless until we can be sure those things are even happening?
Also, a fair amount of effort from quite a few people has gone into the current RP, which didn't even start out as an RP.
Only the naturally occurring ones seem to last any length of time, anyhow, so I feel it's best to just roll with it.

These RPs don't build lore, they add to the instability. If everyone feels as though the current "canon" is adequate, fine. I'd like to see what we have blossom into something that could actually be considered a history on par with that of some of our beloved franchises, but I suppose that won't happen.

Just because you don't know the lore doesn't mean you can hate it. I know my lore and the lore pertinent, and so does everyone else.

Re: Futurecraft Universe Canon and Discussion
The lore is unstructured, made up entirely of RPs that never had anything resembling a standard system of anything, and frankly ridiculous. No one has ever had the ability to organize anything past their own faction's backstory and every time restructuring has been attempted it's failed because apparently people put too much effort RPing whatever little lore was made up. At this point, disorganization and ineptitude are the only constants, not only in the RP but the entire forums. It's annoying that no one can do anything other than twiddle their thumbs and resist change, even if it might be for the better. I'm just upset because the RP is the last sanctuary in this dying community and it's slowly beginning to follow the path of the rest of Futurecraft.ACH0225 wrote:Just because you don't know the lore doesn't mean you can hate it.
