OOC: I can confirm the PM Error was presenting is valid and that indeed, on a political level, the Moboquestrian Republic does no longer exist and is now part of the Novan Commonwealth under the terms seen above.
BIC: Command of the military has already been transfered to the NC, but a lot of paperwork will be required until the process of making the former MQR an autonomous region will be completed.

Alarms blared all over the ship, passengers were given messages informing them of evacuation procedure, while the crew only had to deal with the klaxxons and red lights. They need not receive any instruction, their training at the academy already told them what was going on by the tones - critical engine failure. Hundreds of people flocked to the many evacuation shuttle bays, the small craft rising out of platforms all along the hull.

It was then that Captain Belur arrived. He ordered no hits, damages would not be tolerated. If a single scratch were on it, Central would probably deprive him of command of his current post and deny him command of the Songful Heartwriter. The task would be easy for them though, being trained with instructions passed down the familial lines of all his crew. The Belur name was a one not many knew, for security purposes entirely of course.

With all the civilians off, a lone ship docked to the arboretum. It did nothing to her. Captain Laimax gave orders to detonated the charges and swap power from the slipspace to the slipmerge drive, and "get them the hell out of here already". Explosions filled the viewing ports of countless escape shuttles as the Heartwriter disappeared behind the smoke and light, off to the now barren and abandoned capital system of Darthon. Hexalan ships were already en route earlier that day, under the presumption of "heritage recovery and discovery", as was the task of most non-attack fleets. That was not true for this particular grouping.

Strigiforme attacks and bombardments have been ceased for the time. Diplomatic communications are underway. All Strigiforme ships are remaining in orbit around Serpentis with defences in place.

Until said paperwork is completed, all MQR military ships are free to congregate around and defend any and all Mobian worlds. Novan ships will be present to ensure things go smoothly.

Additionally, the Prime Minister has pointed out that as an autonomus region, the Republic is allowed to retain its title and self-governance.

OOC, think provinces to a federal government - they do their own thing, but the fedgov manages the stuff as a whole.

The Prime Minister released a statement today detailing the Commonwealth/Mobian plan. While the Novans did attack, they were firing training rounds (doing no real damage) and the surrender of the MQR placed them under the NC, thus making them safe from the Strigiforme. This is enforced by both the GSI and the recent Commonwealth-Strigiforme alliance.

The Strigiforme-Commonwealth alliance is now null. Commonwealth ships are banned from access to Strigiforme ports, and any ships belonging to the Commonwealth or her peoples who remain in Strigiforme space past the time they have been ordered to leave may be detained for espionage and violations of borders. Strigiforme ships are banned from trade with the Commonwealth. All shipyards and mines will remain nationalized indefinitely.

In addition, all personnel in the Serpentis system who survived the orbital bombardment are being tried for war crimes by a Strigiforme tribunal. All will receive the death penalty.

The Serpentis sytem is Novan territory; the Strigiforme forces have nk authority there, and are to be escorted to the system's edge and depart. The carrier group of the CWS Longbow is arriving shortly to ensure this.

All Novan* ships have jumped clear of Strigiforme space.

The Strigiforme lay claim of conquest onto the Serpentis system, due to the fact that they had eliminated military resistance in system before the complete surrender of the EE. Therefore, it is Strigiforme space and Strigiforme ships will remain in their orbits.

Nationalized shipyards have maintained a pace of production just below that of full wartime production. Only 1/8 are producing civilian ships. It is expected almost 500 ships will be produced a year.

The Commonwealth carrier group, along with a number of Mobian ships, has arrived in the Serpentis sytem. A microJumpGate has been deployed, allowing any vessel up to cruiser size to pass through. Several cruisers are in transit now.

You are trespassing upon our space. Novan law does not allow for military conquest by someone not recognized as an enemy. Depart immediately, leaving all non-Strigiforme beings here, alive and unharmed, or we will engage.

Please note that this world was taken by the Strigiforme before the EE surrendered. Therefore, it was in Strigiforme possession before the EE could trade it away. Those captured after the battle are being subjected to a military tribunal, which may rule with any decision it pleases under Strigiforme military tribunal law. Moreover, the planet is primarily destroyed and glasses, and holds no value to the Novans.

The Strigiforme will not start this war; all ships will hold their orbits, and only fire when fired upon.

The carrier deployed its fighter screen, totalling 60 fighter-bombers, staying just out of effective weapons range of the Strigiforme vessels. A number of destroyers and frigates prowled alongside them.

The Strigiforme have released non-Equestrian citizens of Serpentis in shuttles. They have been programmed to maintain an equatorial orbit. The ships in orbit over Serpentis will still hold their orbits; they far outnumber and outgun the Novan ships(it's seriously like 400 Strigiforme ships; they rushed through when the portal was destroyed).

A message has also been sent out to all available non-Strigiforme messaging systems like email. The message reads from the Leader of the Strigiforme, asking a single thing–"Is this war worth the death and destruction it will take?"

Meanwhile over Cuuyth....

Orbital shield has been raised, and has been repeatedly raised and lowered from atmospheric levels to orbital levels to attempt to physically damage and reveal Novan stealth ships. In another system, the Barrage Cannon has been targeted on an unknown planet, and has a small fleet guarding it with a shield around it.

Carefully, Lieutenant Daer nudged his ship's thrusters. Hiding in the shadow of a Strigiforme vessel was ticky- staying close enouh that the Prowler has hell to spot, far enouh not to hit the shields. Turning his passive systems on, he activated his Q.E. comms and typed out a message to fleet command.

The Novan ships on the edge of the system continued staring down their gun barrels at the Strigiforme. Reinfocements are trickling in, and the massive newly-repaired Distant Memory has been dispatched.

OOC, Novan prowlers stay high enough above target worlds that they're not likely to be hit by anything. They descend when making missile attacks, but execute a random escape jump as soon as the missiles leave the tubes. So catching them is hard, but if you find one, they have no shields, little armor, and carry only 20 thermonuclear missiles.

The Parallax, traveling just over Cuuyth and moving with the Imperator back to NeoRome, was cut in two.

Jahgrin kept attempting to activate the retrograde orbital boosters from the bridge while the entire room flashed red repeatedly. The ship was violently spinning and tipping towards the planet below, losing all momentum keeping it in orbit as the anti-gravity systems failed. Jahgrin smashed his fist on the console as the boosters failed to activate. Officers were running in and out of the room behind him, without much purpose other than communication. Jahgrin snatched up a communicator and opened a priority-1 broadcast channel.

"Mayday! This is head of Security Council L. Jahgrin aboard the N.R.S Parallax! Our engines have been destroyed and the ship's orbit is decaying! Atmospheric entry will occur in 10 minutes; estimated impact point at 34 Degrees North, 76 Degrees West!" He set this message to accompany a distress beacon, which would continue broadcasting after their downfall.

Jahgrin turned around and braced himself as the gravity generator began to give out, but it returned shortly after. One of the many officers entering and exiting the room ran up to him with a data-pad in hand. "Damage report?" He asked.

"The entire engine column has been sliced off along with the FTL drive and 2 main reactors, and most of the orbital equipment save the gravity generator. The aft section is completely exposed to space and will be heavily damaged during reentry."

"The Imperator?"

"His cell is in the aft section. He likely will not survive.

"And what about the package?"

"It's secure. If we don't impact too violently, containment will not fail."

"Bring the Imperator to the bridge and get a team to the package to secure it during the crash! We cannot allow either to be lost under any circumstances!"

"Yes sir!" The officer ran out. Jahgrin turned around and watched the planet spin and grow in size.
