The MQR has moved up to DEFCON 2 as a response to the Novan advice. [OOC: I assume you meant 2 instead of 1, because otherwise we'd already be throwing thermonukes at each other's planets]
It has also been revealed that the Government has been developing "Chaos Emerald Bombs", which essentially work with uncontrolled destruction of Chaos Emeralds. They are considered the "psionic equivalent of a dirty nuke on steroids" and cause severe contamination to a large area which can not be cleaned up without psionic protection equivalent in power to a Chaos Emerald, so no one except the MQR is expected to be capable of doing so. The revelation propably serves to scare off potential foes.
Also, ship production is being pushed to the limits, where the Dreadnaught retrofit is being accellerated while other shipyards are ordered to produce smaller ships, mostly Halberd-class destroyers, Typhoon-class Strike Cruisers and Minor-class Frigates, to reinforce primarily the Second and Third Fleet, while the Equestria Defense Fleet will also get some ships.

Unless your FTL systems are really crap, you can jump from anywhere to anywhere, mate.

Re: Where we Left Off
Ok, then it is a really short jump to a Novan world. Some people insist that there are lanes and such.

That or if you have jump gates (tm) that help you get from one point to another, but those can be destroyed from either side easily.Commander Error wrote:There's only jump lanes if you're depryFTL.

Re: Where we Left Off
Again, some people(cats mostly) insist that there are lanes one must follow, and to prevent those who believe this from throwing a shitstorm... Either way, let's just say the Strigiforme are putting some fleets together in a tactically advantageous position.

EAS.04: 100%
ME Converter: 65%
Now that all immediately planned EAS and Frigate Factories are complete constant production of frigates at a rate of about 8 ships per day.
OOC: All ship classes are much smaller than their organic accommodating counterparts, so a frigate is probably about the size of a large fighter.

Lanes are established safe-zones where civilian travel mainly takes place.
-NOT NEWS-
The Antioch Research Institute has discovered a way to take the conventional subspace drive and turn it into a massive area-denial weapon. The drive is overloaded with Tachyon Alpha radiation, causing it to misfire and rip a destructive subspace vortex in the fabric of reality, annihilating everything in it's way. The size of the vortex and the time it syatsis entirely dependent on the size of the drive; Randall has mandated the production of 10 Tachyon-Subspace Bombs utilizing the Goliath Class Subspace Core, which is normally reserved for heavy battleships. The bombs are expected to be complete by the end of the week. The Goliath cores are being ripped out of unused NeoRoman battleships in drydock.
Randall has announced a military draft to be put in effect immediately pending the construction of stations and ships requiring military personnel. The first round of recruitment has already started.

Re: Where we Left Off
The SDI has moved several reserve fleets from Andromeda to the Strigiforme-Novan border. Additionally, the Strigiforme gate to Andromeda will be closed for significant periods of time due to the security risk it presents. Fleets from the Triangulum Galaxy are also being pulled forwards, and large scale military conscription has begun. Civilian ship production has ceased, as well as most civilian good production. Additional fleets are being concentrated in Serpentis and at key strategic points on the Strigiforme-Novan border, most notably Cyytrriil

Re: Where we Left Off
Defense platforms have been concentrated over populated worlds, and lesser-populated ones are being evacuated. The recovered Aurelian ship, the Aurelia Eterna, has been fitted with an extensive Novan armament. It is being fitted and will deploy within a day.

This is it, the apocalypse.
BIC:
Frigates: 8
2 of which are committed to mining.
2 to the assembly of modular parts for stations.
4 of which contain a prototype of the ship shotgun.
Testing of the shotgun reveals that it is a decently effective weapon. Plans have been transmitted to Zuguth for possible application in their navy.

Re: Where we Left Off
The Aiigaiion has been moved to Cyytrriil, along with its support fleet. Additional defences have been established over all border worlds, and the Barrage Cannon has had a large delivery of all types of torpedo warheads, ranging from high explosive to nuclear to chemical to biological. Shipyards over all SDI worlds have been working on ship production; many high efficiency ones may achieve a rate of a frigate every 2 months.
