You're the one who shot up a control panel and fricked with the wiring. Also, Tajer was of helped make, is partially your fault therefore.
It was a control panel to a door, it's not like I busted open the power box on the other side of the hall and applied unlock.

You have no idea what that panel was linked to. It may not have even been primarily for the door. This entire section is basically the bridge, it makes sense for aux controls everywhere.

Val, still in the comman deck (?), brought up various holographic screens and indicators under her QI's guidance. Glancing through them, she contacted Hexalan.

"From what I can tell up here, while they need power, the auxiliary engine systems are undamaged. Can't say the same for the hull, though, nor the primary systems."

OOC: It is one of the many emergency control centers, meaning it has access to the majority of systems, so sure, you can call it a command deck.

"I'll get on that as soon as we've met our 'guest'." Looking down the hall, there was an ajar door, a blasted panel, and a signature on the motion tracker. She glanced over to Bossy, and motioned towards the aforeseen room ahead.

Val flipped through screens, checking the various ship's systems.

Spotting what she was looking for, she cursed quietly, her mismatched eyes widening.

"Hexalan, problem. If these are accurate, the ship's hull can't handle more than fifty percent thrust oo the auxiliary drives. Something put some very large holes in this beast."

((Since nobody picked me up, I am ret-conning me exiting the slot))

"This ship is modular, Val," JAG replied from the room. "I have identified three modules that our little section could do without. The first is the auxiliary gravity section."

"The others?"

"The atmospheric-shielding unit and the auxiliary reactor core."

"Whats the catch?"

"The auxiliary gravity room weighs the least and ejecting it might not do anything. The atmospheric-shielding unit weighs much more, but we'd need to seal the damaged bulkheads first. The auxiliary core is the heaviest, but we need to re-orient the solar panels before we eject it if we want any power. And unless we go into solar orbit, we'll rapidly loose power as we zoom away from the star."

"You're sure?"

"With 95% certainty." He paused and switched channels to Hexalan. "Our friend is most definitely armed. Use caution."

"Okay. Given how we hardly have any hierarchy... seal any and all hatches that lead to a breached area or decompressed compartment. If you can, set up makeshift airlocks. We'll do this the old-fashioned way."

She paused. "Do we have the location of and access to the CIC? Beyond an auxiliary control deck, I mean?"

*throws rock at vinyl
He rummaged through various cabinets looking for useful things, so far all he had found were a few bottles of space beer which were quickly placed in a compartment for later use. A blip appearing on his HUD alerted him to someone near the doorway, in one swift motion he turned around, pulled out his rifle, and crouched behind a counter aiming towards the door. "Whoevers out there better walk in slowly or you gonna have a bad time" he said loudly.

"It's just me!" Bossy called as she leaned in through the door, Hexalan standing against the wall out of sight.

"She's just trying to not get your ass shot."
Bossy quickly turned to face Hexalan, "If by shot you mean killed, yes."

JAG piped up, speaking from the room itself. "If you consider your own life worth saving, Tajer, you might want to cooperate and not shoot anyone- or anything, in the case of the control panel." JAG sighed audibly. "Look, you killed an entire electrobyte family when you shot that control box. Children slaughtered before their parent's eyes. Please, don't shoot anything else."

Laura chuckled darkly.

"He's not kidding. All personnel;" she said, snapping back to her normal voice, "Be aware that any red-marked hatches are now serving as doors into open space; and any blue-marked hatches are now airlocks. This hulk has taken more hits than the Millenium Falcon, and it shows."

(Note: she's altering the lights around the various doors to indicate the above. A lot of doors are now blue or red, I'd think.)
