Waiting for Zuguth to finish his wire fiddling, Solari reached down into his bag to grab a snack. Upon picking out a meal ration Solari consumed about a fifth of it, then resealed it and put it back into his bag.

"My pleasure," Hexalan informed Val, drawing her pistol. No one's getting past here. Using the other hand, which had been holding her helmet, placed it onto her head. Connecting, it interfaced with her optical implants and brought up the HUD. The LIDAR tracker appeared in the bottom right, on it appeared them and the walls. The projected reticule for the pistol then activated. Just they try.

Val shook her head and turned to watch Zuguth pulling wires. After several zaps, humming, hawing, and a sigh or two, he sat down and started tapping his tablet.

Wandering back out into the hall, Val headed for the crew quarters they had found earlier, checking her concealed sidearm was stil in place.

Solari noticed that Val was leaving, and took a short sprint after her. "Would you like someone to accompany you?"

She raised an eyebrow. "If you like, I was just going to check something I saw earlier." the creature replied.

"Surely it's more interesting than watching Zuguth, besides it's probably best if we start sticking mostly together, never know what you might find." Solari replyed.

"At this rate, my gut tells me we'll find a lot of empty starship."

Walking into the bunkroom, she looked up, spotting the object of her interest. She hopped up on a bunk, jumped to a support strut, and shimmied up it, reaching the oddly-defined panel in the wall.

Reaching over, she grabbed it and pulled, the panel coming out easily and falling to the floor with a clang. Peering inside, she was a maintenance tunnel - wires, piped, and a metal grille on the floor.

Looking down at Solari, she called out, "I'm going to go take a look at this. Yell if you need me."

And with that, she swung into the crawlspace and began working her way along it.

"Be careful!" Solari said to val, then sat on a bed and waited.

Crawling along, Val followed one set of wires at random through several turns and bends. Seeing another hatch ahead, she carefully pushed it open, grabbing it to prevent the sound of it hitting the floor. Setting it carefully inside the crawlway, she stuck her head out, seeing... well, if the huge boxes were any indicator, a cargo bay.

Hopping down to the deck, she headed for the door. Hearing something on the other side, she froze, then listened carefully.

"Surprise *!"

The hell?

((Hey error, where do you want the cargo bays? I mean I have an Idea of where to put them, but I was wondering if you had a plan?))

Strigiforme knew what was going on. Strigiforme had been here for ages. He knew all these present; he babysat them as babies when he was a young owl.

He climbed into the tube system in the ceiling, goofing to the cargo bay. He saw Granddaughter Novus below. She had always been a quiet child, and had taken quite well to the lessons he taught.

Strigiforme stealthily flew down from the ceiling, intent on a surprise hug

Batiss had been waiting for some time, her ear hovering over the weakened section of metal that she had cut. She had heard something moving below after the metal glow had subsided and decided to pause for a more opportune moment, as it seemed that whatever had made the noise was waiting as welll. There had also been the sound of something moving through the access tunnels somewhere in the distance.

"SURPRISE, *!" A muffled voice echoed in the space below, Batiss estimated nearly under her cut. She kicked downward, fracturing the weakened ceiling material, which fell to the cavern's floor, and dropped through the hole, sliding a sword from one of the sheaths on her back. She landed, crouched. There was a tien's back directly in front of her. The creature was holding a weapon. It apparently hand't had time to turn it toward the new stimulus. Its back seemed like a nice place to plant a sword. She placed the tip on the back of the tien's neck, pressure enough to be felt, and drew a pistol from the hip holster in her armor. She scanned the area behind her, then addressed the tien.

"Giatan ta'a? Kto tbi? Who are you?"

((Ach I'm fairly sure error is going to not allow that.))

Becoming bored, Solari decided to draw some on the wall, with his laser pistol.

Val pried the door open slightly, wedging the metal bar she used into the gap. Perring out, she saw... something... drop down from the ceiling, pressing a sword against a Tien's back.

Observing the Tien's look of displeasure, she called out quietly, "Can nobody on this thing just get along?"

OOC, ACH, the maintenance crawlways are too small for a Strigiforme. He'd lose both wings just getting in.

The main halls, on the other hand...
