-DE-30W--X, fires bolts of plasma housed in special containers. Awaiting combat testing, preliminary testing shows lack luster results.
-DE-27W--X, fires short bursts of infrared lasers. Combat testing shows effectiveness barely above current railguns, but is cheaper. Projected to be future replacement of current deck guns.
-DE-44W--X, launches blobs of superheated non-ionized gasses. Combat testing shows at least 12% better effectiveness against shields than current MAC's. Projected to be used in future anti-shield ships.

OOC: Its a bit impossible,because the most cheap leaser is the infra-red class. The UV is more costly becasue of the advanced focal systems and railgun is the cheapest ship weapon available. Its my opinion,tought.

OOC: You can't overheat plasma shields. Plasma is high temperature, and given that it is held in place with magnetic fields, all you are doing is increasing energy and effectiveness.
