This is totally not plot fuel for later where I plan to counquer the galaxy as SPACE * MONGOL STALIN spread flowers and joy.

Re: Where we Left Off
So we skirmished, you realized you were horribly disadvantaged so accepted the offer and left and the AUF assumed your worlds, thus avoiding your total destruction and shit.
I'm cool with this.
BIC:
The AUF has officially claimed victory as the Tajer fleet retreated, leaving it's conquered worlds to the AUF. Disaster and support relief is ongoing on these worlds immediately.
In other news, the jumpgate linking NGC 1300 and the Milky Way has collapsed on schedule as the NeoRomans said. Nobody has heard from them since their flight; the fate of the Farable colonies is thus unknown. All attempts to communicate with the NeoRomans have failed for reasons unknown.

Re: Where we Left Off
OOC: actually most worlds that weren't exterminated were just disarmed and multiple public works projects we're put in place to distract the populace. The most you should need to do is rearm the local defense forces and quell the sudden job loss.

The council has announced an operation to reorganize the military after the disasterous attempt to claim new worlds, various plansare rumored for new ships to replace the aging war fleet and prevent such a failure from occurring again.
In other news a famed geneticist has formed a team of researchers composed of cloning experts and implant specialists to quote "Create a organic AI system that will actively learn like a real mind while retaining the benefits of a mechanical AI" further news reports will be made on the progress.

Re: Where we Left Off
((Judging by everyone ignoring the Hexalani assault on the Tajer, I'm just gonna say that the Heartwriter never left dock))
"Well, the AUF has been given authority to all the conquered planets."
"Damn... launch some campaigns, let's see if we can convince the populations they should join us then. Also, see if we can get in some help with cleanup and relief, wedge in some leverage."
"Yes sir."
<<COMMUNIQUE TO AUF>>
<Hexalan is willing to assist in cleanup and relief, we have several hundred available utility vessels as well as a surplus of equipment due to our not needing to use them for the last few decades.
<<END>>
Civilian vessels begin trickling in to the worlds to "voluntarily" spread propaganda.

Re: Where we Left Off
The Strigiforme have begun building orbital defences above former NeoRoman worlds under their aegis at a rapid pace. These orbital defences, manufactured in the Strigiforme core worlds and transported out, are well dispersed among former NeoRoman worlds, both independent Strigiforme aegis worlds and Strigiforme Empire worlds. The fleets stationed there have been arranged in what was termed a "semi-permanent patrol pattern", with the aegis territory being protected by Strigiforme fleets. Additionally, the governments of some nations have requested membership in the SDI, with the hope of receiving military and economic aid. Many aegis worlds have abandoned the worryingly destabilized Rom, and have switched to the K'lii, which has the full backing of the Strigiforme National Bank, with said bank assuring the public that the K'lii will remain stable.

Re: Where we Left Off
//AUF Message to: Hexalan//
It seems that minimal relief is needed for the non-bombarded worlds. As for the bombarded ones, there's almost nothing left on the worlds worth saving at all. We will not be needing assistance in this matter.
//END//
All worlds obtained by the AUF from the Tajer are being annexed and brought under the government's control, as many of them contain facilities vital to the success of the AUF. These include research facilities, data storage facilities, and weapon production complexes. President Randall Feragg assures that the planets will retain control over themselves, but the primary AUF government will watch them.
A full-scale reworking of the military is underway, as multiple lead military strategists declared the former NeoRoman fleet "woefully incompetent" in the battlefield. This may be in part due to the non-functional Update Hub, which previously could change a ship's entire role and function through software updates. Ships are being completely stripped and rebuilt at the Dylarian shipyard, NeoRome's former primary shipyard.
The AUF also announced that the Rom, which has tanked heavily, will be phased out and removed as a currency, and instead replaced with Galactic Credits, the standard currency of the galaxy. Economic specialists applaud the change, as the Rom introduced needless complexity to the economy.
After the AUF acquired the worlds from Tajer, the AUF now has jurisdiction over approximately 65% of former NeoRoman worlds. The remaining 35% have either became city-state like nations, joined another nation, or are currently undecided.
The military has also decided that the Fusion Coil Splicer will be completely struck out from the military, despite it's power. The decision was made after the government declared the Splicer's charging time 'unacceptable'. Until the charging time can be reduced to acceptable levels, it will not be present on any future spacecraft. Research into adequate replacements is ongoing.

Re: Where we Left Off
Negotiations for some former NeoRoman systems, mostly mining systems with one or two inhabited planets, to join the Zuguthian Empire as protected but mainly self-governed regions have started.
Following the recent legalization of military-use wormholes, more thorough research is being made on wormhole generators that can be fitted on dreadnoughts and larger battlecruisers, as well as special ships with the main purpose of generating wormholes for the use of the entire fleet. It is assumed that production will begin in less than a month.
Plans are being made for a 7th and 8th fleet of ships, as well as a restructuring of the other fleets. This to be able to maintain adequate levels of protection for all colonies and territories under the Zuguthian Empire, both in the Milky Way and in Andromeda.
The fleets are assumed to be finished within one or two years.

OOC: I'M BACK!
BIC: August Tellaeya was quite possibly the happiest person in the galaxy right now. NeoRome was gone! The Confederation military was back up to strength, and it was time to laugh at the galaxy's face.
//PUBLIC BROADCAST TO THE GALACTIC COMMUNITY//
The Orion Imperium has been reinstated. Rest assured, we will not actively make war on you. However, if any nation attacks, the Imperium will fight them with the fury of Hell.
Best Regards,
Imperator August Tellaeya
//END//
All across the former Confederacy, the Imperial Guard has been reinstated, replacing the Praetorian Guard as the personal army of the Imperator. Fleets have mobilized for intimidation, not war.

Might this nation inquire why you have decided to undo the work your own military did at the end of the Imperium War? And why you are hell-bent on oppressing your own people?

O4-IK: this is it. I do not know what to do anymore. Just as the crisis in ex-NR space is over, the Orion go back to being a dictatorship. And on top of that, our most important asset seems to hvae been lost. *sigh* whatever. I guess we can maintain DEFCON-3 then...
//transmition to Novus//
I highly suggest trying to get the AUF into the GSI before they join any other alliance.
I think we can agree that a SDI-membership would be very bad for us and we currently have... uncertain intelligence on the political agenda of the UGC.
