That can happen, but your ships weren't coming in in a way that would allow a collision like that.
Yeah they did? Fourth fleet came in on fenways fleet right side.

Also I've been looking over your evil plans and I've spotted a flaw, you plan to take all the territory that the Tajer captured but the AUF also wants that territory, which means you'll have to fight the AUF which means the rest of the GSAI whatever will end up fighting you.
This confused me, how do you plan to avoid this?

Simple, we give them to the AUF in every respect but the name, and will prioritize their needs of the planets before ours, while still retaining ownership until the AUF can pay the large sums needed to own the planets (credits Hexalan has in abundance compared to the AUF) where we will relinquish control of the planets while still retaining all non-public facilities constructed by Hexalan. Honestly, do you think we'd dare take on a fleet where one of their dreadnoughts can easily take on (and probably defeat) the largest active warship in the Milky Way.

OOC: I think I need to refit one of my old Mobocarriers...
I will also assume the ramming thing was invalid.
BIC:

SGM: So the Tajer ignored the Novan ultimatum?
???: Yes.
SGM: I guess we could interfere, then, but I think the AUF is handleing itself quite well with those Positronic splicers and I'd rather wait for an order form Novus. However, start an investigation if the ex-NR territory is still considered part of the GSI, I think the Tajer might need some good old-fashioned Moboquestrian... liberation in case the war goes to them.

How comes every time I have to leave the forum for a day or two you start fighting over something and write like 5 pages, taking one or two valuable hours from my life?
And I guess it's too late to negotiate my way into a couple mining systems?

BIC:
Discussions were going forth and back in the higher parts of the Zuguthian government, about what to do with the whole NeoRome situation.
"We should have started negotiating immediately" one official said.
"We simply didn't have the time," said another, "it was all so sudden, we couldn't possibly have been prepared."
"You don't need to be prepared to start negotiations."
"We need to focus on the subject at hand" said a new voice.
The voice belonged to Priya Toma, the grand admiral of the Zuguthian Stellar Navy.
"Should we intervene in the fight or not?"

An official of international affairs took the word.
"Because of the Tri-Faction Alliance, I think we are obliged to assist the Novan Commonwealth."
"I mean no respect, but as the highest ranking official in the Stellar Navy, I believe I might be more authorized than you when saying that the other nations are already providing more than enough power to completely wipe out the Tajer fleet."
Another official spoke up.
"If we don't help, then we have next to no chance of landing negotiations for ex-NeoRoman territory. Besides, this would be a good opportunity to finally legalize military use of wormholes. After all, with over 250 years of research into the subject, I feel like we know enough for it to be safe."
Toma sighed, but she realized that they were all right.
"Very well. Contact the Empress about authorizing the change of wormhole laws, and we'll vote once we get the results."

The vote was successful. Two fleets are being sent to assist the Novan Commonwealth, and military use of wormholes have been legalized. The fleets will in total carry 20 wormhole bombs: expensive devices that can materialize inside enemy ships and destabilize the fabric of reality directly around them, removing a part of the ship, like a reactor or parts of the cockpit, and sending it into another dimension, or another time or place in this one.

Artillery played major role in picking targets from afar. Ships disabled by the AUF beams were destroyed very easily by the heavy long range bombardment. When the "surprise" fleet appeared at the right side of the battle, frigates uncloaked and then hell was unleashed. Big ships are not good enough to manuever against a frigate, and wolfpacks were attacking at "knife fight" range, unleashing several volleys of Javelin torpedoes before cloaking, and then repeating the process until many ships were crippled. The objective was not destroy, but hinder movement or at least damage the fleet as a whole to make it easier to other fleets to pick them off.

Darkstar to AUF command:

"We are holding the ambushers. We would like some assistance, thought."

OOC: sorry i am wrong with that,i did not understood what happened on the battle
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Meta: Small deals with the AUF "insurgency" on Tajer controled planets are going relatively well. Stealth supply drops, guerrilla tactics, all teached by Operatives installed on some planets that were controlled by NeoRome before. [You can call this invalid,Fenway, its your decision]

Meta 2 [If the above is invalid] : Small strike teams are deployed in key places, were they could wreak havoc with military extructure [Comm stations, military outposts, refuelling stations] of the Tajer-NeoRome controlled space. Objective: Cripple the Tajer advance and fleet support.

OOC: the AUF was attacking the Tajer fleet at some system and is already winning AFAIK. The Tajer have also stopped advancing and are now mainly defensive.

The 3rd MQR fleet has set course to another ex-NR world that had negotiations concerning integration into the Novan Caommonwealth running when the Tajer attacked.
Their goal is to drive the Tajer out of the system and gain an edge at persuading them into joining.
With most of the Tajer fleet engaged in battle with the AUF, it should be fairly easy to liberate those worlds.

in case of battle:

fleet composition:
Spoiler:
35 Typhoon-class Strike cruisers
28 Halberd-class destroyers
12 Crimson-class missile frigates
38 Freedom-class pinnaces
22 Minor-P-class psionic warfare ships
10 Fox-class multirole frigates
strategy:
The Typhoons will perform hit-and-run missions in cooperation with the Freedom-class pinnaces and strikecraft. The remianing part of the fleet will lay continuous firepower on the enemy fleet, with the Halberds pushing the majority of the firepower. The psionic warfare ships will be used to lower the enemy's combat effectiveness.

The MQR turned to hit-and-run tactics after conventional weapons exchange proved inefficient at fighting the Strigiforme.

Detecting FTL windows and new ships approaching the Novan AIs took over and reacted. Broadsides and missiles intercepted the Tajer 4th fleet; several smaller ships were blown apart right off. The Novans went evasive as the apparently suicidal Tajerians charged, dancing around them and firing into their now-exposed aft sections.

Valereia, narrowly evading a cruiser, turned nose-on to the heaviest Tajer ship. Bringing her forward guns to bear, the battlecarrier fired, spinal-mount cannons hurling their shells towards the enemy.

A blue-white lance reached across space, briefly linking the two vessels; the Tajerian ship promptly went dark, the relatavistic stream of molten metal carving her reactors into pieces. The Novan ship advanced, turning her broadside guns on smaller targets; the second Phoeniz cannon lanced out, neatly carving the portside weapons array apart.

OOC: I'm keeping the ramming tactic but WAY toning down the damage because half a fleet is ridiculous. Also, NR Dreadnoughts don't broadside really.
BIC:

Barial braced himself as the enemy fleet warped in right on top of him and began firing. The initial wave took out several ships before they could react, but then the Fusion Coil Splicers came online. They swatted at the remaining 4th fleet ships like flies as they focused fired on them. A few ships couldn't avoid a collision; a poor cruiser was crushed by a Tajer battleship and they both went down. The Second Armada, not entirely engaged with the 4th fleet, broke off to intercept the Tajer first fleet as it tried to flank them, while the First Armada continued engaging the 4th fleet and the oncoming Second and Third fleet. Positronic Fusion Coil Splicers proved to be extremely effective, swatting away ships with minimal effort, but the advantage couldn't last. The Third and Second fleets, now in position, fired a concentrated volley at the AUF fleet, bringing down a considerable number of ships, even as their ranks fell away.

In former NeoRoman space that was taken under Strigiforme aegis of protection, several independent nations have emerged. These nations, independent from the AUF, were established with Strigiforme backing, and many have Strigiforme fleets guarding them due to their lack of ships. Several former worlds, however, were absorbed by the Strigiforme due to their strategic importance and proximity. Additionally, several Strigiforme bloc nations were entirely absorbed into the Strigiforme Empire. The Strigiforme have formally declared their neutrality towards the Tajer-AUF conflict, and have ordered their fleets to remain in their positions and hold the systems. The most forward Strigiforme position is only 3 systems from Antioch, and has several heavy fleets stationed there, with the Aiigaiion en route.

With their psionic sensors registering a worrying decrease in human psionic signatures at the battle between the AUF and the Tajer, the 3rd fleet stops their reconquering campaign and heads there to assist the AUF forces.

Fenway you still wanna redo the battle, technically the fight should've been between your one dreadnought fleet but then somehow we just stared at each other and everyone teleported across a system.
