Keep the bickering for your math exams, summing up your fleet contents is not hard and vital for the very lore of what you do, your paranoia regarding numbers will only make your fleet composition look stupid .

OOC: FUCK MATH!

BIC:

Overall research on military tech is going well. Small breaktrought in E-War softwares and the such are to be expected.

Engineers are still working on a "heavy" combat ship. The efforts are going well, but without a "real" schematic

OOC: I'm fine with math for the most part, but for some situations it just isn't practical.

Picking up the datapad the assistant just dropped on her desk, the Lord of Admirals reviewed the results from the wargames as well as recent news on RemoTek.

I just want a clear definition of what different ships are, like frigates, sometimes they seem to be just below battleships/cruisers/battlecruisers/fuckever, and other times they seem to be just above fighters, which tbh is what I imagine them to be.

Wait, in the MQR frigates are in the 150+ meter range of size, with pinnaces being the just-bigger-than-fighters thing and corvettes being between those. Cruisers are between 300 and 800 meters (tho the largest may already be called bettlecruiser) and anything above is a dreadnaught. Mostly rough estimates tho. I guess everyone has their own classification, that's why the measurements are in the new system.

The normal / traditional system, smallest to largest-

Fighters / Bombers
Corvettes and Pinnances
Frigates
Destroyers
Cruisers and Battlecruisers
Battleships
Carriers, Dreadnoughts, other support vessels
Titans

"Frigates" are fairly fast, fairly maneuverable, and pack a decent punch. Mainly for anticorvette and hit-and-run work.

Except when you're me and make a giant engine, slap on subsystems and thrust redirection and get a hit-and-run cruiser.

So how to classify things without interfering with each faction's unique caveats when it comes to names?

Man, I really wish someone would make a thread for a solution to this!

Simple, Don't use unique caveats.

Or, if you must, give the equivalent in the standard ship sizes.

Ships are being updated with all new ELINT softwares, including some sort of "analogic" control as a fail-safe system against E-war attacks. All ship computers are being manned at the CIC and almost never used as a network,to reinforce firewalls and stop incoming attacks. Tests show promising results.

-------------------------
The engineers sussceded in the creation of a new ship! Many systems were created to complement this unique cruiser
Spoiler:
[IMAGE PENDING _ I AM LAZY TO BUILD SOMETHING]
Name: Goliath
Class: Heavy Cruiser
Engines: S.T.A.R Engine system x4 [Improved speed - For a Cruiser]

System: GARDIAN system [General ARea Defense Integration Anti-spacecraft Network], SIREN E-War module [The SIREN is a module used for E-War combat. Its made of brute force protocols to "crack" computer networks and is complemented by a set of firewalls . Itself its simple in function, but very powerful in terms of range and "firepower" ] , GOLIATH Shielding [ Made exclusively for the Goliath reactors, its a set of shield systems. It is composed of kinetic barriers, magnetic shielding and a prototype device that converts the dark matter around the ship into some sort of hard shell. It is not suitable for long term battles,as it is power hungry even for the Goliath reactors.]

Weapons: 3 racks of 40 railguns [250 mm] at each side for broadside combat,1x spinal mounted S.L.R.H.C [Strategic Long Range Hadron Cannon],GARDIAN lasers [Infra-red class] , 20xTorpedo tubes [5 at each side,10 at the front] 40x DEW [Direct Energy Weapon] along the hull.

The Goliath is a force to be reckoned with. The new development of the Darkstar Corporation is based solely on one thing - Ravage the enemy and stay alive - . Heavy shielding ,Heavy hull and Heavy weaponry, alongside powerful E-war suites to give support to a degree to allies nearby,it can be a powerfull enemy. Goliath reactors are made just for him, giving the necessary energy for the power hungry systems. In terms of weaponry, its very well armed with state of the art weapons.
