Re: Where we Left Off
Meta wise the only reason the Tajer participated was to have an excuse to scan the fuck out of opposing faction ships.

Re: Where we Left Off
I'd like to point out that the Shiel blocks everything, and Strigiforme ships are almost entirely closed off, with the transmitters having to be manually connected. I thought I said this, but I must not have.
Strigiforme forces were underpowered because I get shit tons of flak for not being weaker than you guys because I am the bad guy, so Strig fleets should probably be 30%+ better and have several more ships. Honestly, from canon earlier on, every fleet had a dread, but with all the people doing timers to make 1 dread I figured I'd have to give an arm and a leg to get one in every fleet. Additionally, Shield cannot go down; it has to run out of yttrium or the generators have to experience a violent breakdown. It also only takes 2 Shield Ships to maintain one.

Re: Where we Left Off
Question, will there be any other rounds that aren't ship v ship?

Re: Where we Left Off
By shield going down, a shield ship keeping it up from collapsing under weapon's fire was taken out, so eh. It's not invincible mate.
I kindof assumed it was a one-way shield allowing you to fire back; otherwise it would kill you too easily.

Re: Where we Left Off
It's two way; the Strigiforme can't shoot back. I said you could PM me about these things. The shield ships were inside the bubble, which blocks attacks.

Re: Where we Left Off
BTW notice how hard it is to run a battle without any math to base it on, the only side that is guaranteed to be satisfied is the GM and those he favored, BTW how can a GM judge his own battle anyway ?
Finally next round ACH I suggest doubling your ship numbers, nobody will notice anyway ...

I'm deleting the whole thing. Ach, you do it if you're that finicky.
And Iv, most of the difficulty I had with deciding battles is when i did use math. I try to be as fair as possible, weighing both sides; both combatants go in expecting to win, you know.

Re: Where we Left Off
And yet even if you did weight it the fact your side won turns everyone against you no matter how based your decision is, in fact I will take a look at the fleet composition and give my own (probably meaningless) verdict as a 3rd party and point out the difficulties I had while judging, after all without any facts to base yourself on your decision is nothing more than a personal opinion, it will always be such but this one is barely attached to anything thus it is highly probable it is inaccurate. Finally As I suggested to ACH all I need to do to win is see your fleet size and make a fleet twice as big, there is no way to tell if such fleet existed or didn't, even if the verdict is fair the events that lead to it are not.

Re: Where we Left Off
@Iv Solving that problem is part of the plan we are doing for the revision. People will have to post their total ship numbers and if it's OP, it gets shot down.
As everything will be ocnsistent, you can't just magically warp ships between fleets either, so while you could send a fleet, you'll be stuck with the equipment of said fleet.
You are correct that asspulling fleets is a problem we currently have, but it is also a problem that is in process of being solved atm, so please don't pick on it, okay?

Well it becomes a lot of numbers to keep track of
, you really need a program, you know what I take my words back on the cold reception of my RP system, you might hate everything I do but its either this or keeping a giant logbook, I win !

No, keep it. I'm fine with it; I bet victory on the England v Italy game, and England lost.Professor Fenway wrote:I'm deleting the whole thing. Ach, you do it if you're that finicky.

Re: Where we Left Off
Personally, there's simple solution to asspull:
List all of your active military ships, and their fleets and such. As an example, I have 114 military starships. All named. So if I need some, I pull names from that list.
While not everyone can do that - many folks here field fleets of hundreds - a simple list of how many eould help.

Re: Where we Left Off
We currently only have:
2 dreadnoughts.
32 frigates.
None of them organised into fleets as we're too small to really do anything.
