Re: Where we Left Off
"While I am very sorry to hear that, you went behind my back. I cannot protect you and the board will not have mercy."
"What are you talking about? I did nothing!"
"I received a message from Jahgrin, and I have full authorization to security feeds. The hearing will be held tonight, but you know what punishment will be dealt for suck and act."
"Affirmative, sir."
"At least the Heartwriter is operational, you have my thanks on that."\
"Understood. Major Gaiya out."
The small orange hologram dissipated from the small projector mounted into the sleek desk. The now former Lord of Admirals stood, the light from the rather nearby star reflecting off of his now meaningless badges. The door hissed open.
"Rayuisaon Khasn, I am here to relieve you of duty."
"Yes ma'am."
She aimed the sidearm, firing. The new Lord of Admirals unpinned the largest of the badges, and mounted it on her uniform. The door still open, a couple of technicians came in and dragged out the body. She sat in the chair and observed the view from above the Capital.
---
The Songful Heartwriter is now operational and is awaiting crews.

Re: Where we Left Off
@Shadow I am sorry, but I am failing to extract information from your post. You may be missing some preposition between 'Haredim' and 'the inner systems' maybe?
Also what even is a Haredim?

OOC: Due to events outside my control, I will be with VERY limited internet access throughout the week, and as such, all stuff involving NeoRome will take rather long and I won't be on much really. Sorry. I'll do what I can though.

Re: Where we Left Off
Research is now being aimed at the military technologies. Budget is being increased slightly on energy production technology research and a new shielding design.
A current problem is logistical support. Darkstar ships are made to operate very far from home, and a special class of logistic ship is needed. Darkstar engineers, working side by side with outside contractors are working on that.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nothing unusual to report,Open Evaluation of the Banshee interceptor is being done at Cyranun II,with internal fleet wargames between the daredevil squadron 19th "Fireballs" and the 3th Ravens.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Plans to stabilish a Darkstar branch on the Andromeda galaxy are being made,to give security support to citizens going there.

Re: Where we Left Off
As a friendly gesture, the MQR sends information on a colonizable planet in an uninhabited system found by the Andromeda expedition to Darkstar.
Attached is a note saying to keep in mind that their access to Andromeda however is limited to a jumpgate operated by a non-allied faction, which may cause logistical problems if the Novans ever decide to restrict usage of their warpgates due to events such as war.

"Yes,boss?"
"Connect me to the MQR command. Encryption, please."
"As you wish.."
//MESSAGE TO THE MQR [Encrypted] \\
Our branch there will be fully supported with logistic ships to stay away from home for long periods of time. Can you send me more information on the planet? I have to take care of some problems before i send something in there.
Also,i have a gift for your friendly gesture.

Your evaluation will be important on that particular matter.

Dreadnought Progress: 100%
//SHIPYARD ALPHA-FOXTROT, IN ORBIT OVER TITUS II//
The massive form of the Colossus-Class Dreadnought slowly made its way out of the drydock. This was the lead ship of its class, therefore it was named the Colossus. When it reached a certain point, it warped to join the 1st Fleet at Wispar, making the 1st Fleet the only one the have Broadswords and the dreadnought.

Re: Where we Left Off
Jahgrin quickly looked over the datapad and then looked back at Mayala. "Is the data here?"
"Yes, it's attached with the report," she replied. Jahgrin pulled out and extended his datapad and pressed a few keys on it, transferring the data, before handing back the original to Mayala. "I'll deliver this to the NRI."
"NRI?"
"NeoRoman Intelligence. Our spying division, in other terms." Just after he said this, a loud beep resounded from a device on Jahgrin's belt.
"Sir, we have a problem," said the device in a radio-static way. Jahgrin grabbed the device and held it up.
"Why are you contacting me over radio?"
"This is urgent. We found the wreck of the Duravell."
"And?" Jahgrin began to walk outside the building. Mayala followed him.
"It's on a collision course with Antioch." Jahgrin froze and almost dropped the radio.
"Explain to me why we have planetary defenses then!"
"They're not working."
"WHAT?" Jahgrin began running out of the building, pushing several people out of the way, and went through the door. He winced in the sunlight and dropped the radio, Mayala just behind him. He scanned the sky before he found it- a massive fireball, bellowing black smoke, rapidly dropping, As he watched, several beams flashed through the sky from the city, aimed directly at it. The fireball split in two at this volley, but it kept falling. A train passing by the embassy screeched to a halt. "Get down!" he yelled, pushing Mayala to the ground behind a raised wall and crouching behind it, as the fireballs struck the city.
The city was vaporized under the immense energy the ship held. Buildings fell and collapsed under the shockwave, rubble thrown through the air like paper in the wind. The embassy shook and partially collapsed as the shockwave struck it. The sky blackened, the earth shook.
The Aurora noticed the cloud rising over the city and began sending a distress signal.

Re: Where we Left Off
Several civilian ships, orbiting the NeoRoman world, noted both the impact and distress call. One passenger liner, the Novan ship Tundra Wolf, relayed the distress call to the nearest Commonwealth outpost.

Coughing, May raised her head and glanced around. The surrounding area seemed okay... if a bit dusty... and shaken up. Okay, maybe a bit more than shaken up. Citizens stumbled to their feet, looking around wildly.
Checking Jahgrin - who was already gemtting to his fee t, shouting something into a comms unit - she sprinted off towards the embassy, signalling the secretary inside to transmit the automated emergency signal to Novus.
