"My fault prediction systems are detecting a problem in the propulsion syst-" He was briefly interrupted by an apparently massive explosion but resumed quickly, "I regret to inform you that we are once again in a terminal orbit."

JAG began interfacing with the locker- the one with the NR symbol in it. He wasn't physically interfacing with it, but the panel lit up with lines and patterns that rapidly changed. After a minute, the panel turned green and shut off. The panel slid back and then slid open, revealing a very small receptacle. Inside it was a small data-drive, quantum, with a circular blue pattern dancing on its top. "I thought as much," JAG said. He unfolded a small appendage and nabbed it, placing it in a receptacle on the Widow. "Access denied," he mumbled shortly after.

"JAG, can you fix the trajectory?" Val asked.

"I can, but I don't think I will."

"And why is that?" Laura said, as her hologram popped up.

"I am following my directives established upon my creation. Your survival is not one of them, and at the moment, it does not accomplish any of them." The last half of the statement was accompanied by a psionic flare in Val's direction from the Widow, conveying an air of annoyance. "It is entirely possible, however, for you to fix the trajectory." With this last statement, the panel the Widow came through opened again, and it quickly scurried off."

Seeing the anger of the crowd, Hexalan refrained from remarking that JAG would make an excellent admiral.

"We're currently in a spot of bother, as according to my helmet, we have no idea which thrusters do and do not work. I believe the saying is, 'let us the gang split up'? Oh, and before we do go, anyone happen to remember any codes, perhaps those pertaining to QI overrides."

"Would be lovely if I did. And Hexalan? Two things. One, Re-review your antipsionic training and two, note the Admirals who decide they won't save people because "it's not their job" should be assigned to grunt work or dishonorable discharge. Just throwing that out there."

Val glared at JAG, moving off towards the control interface room nearby, taking several small items from the locker with her.
