Re: Where we Left Off [RP TITAN]
Also your map fails to show the former Zuguth territory that is now MR surrounding a fairly small Macaian space.

Re: Where we Left Off [RP TITAN]
The problem with maps is that they are inaccurate, prone to disputes, can't accurately show territory or strength, etc. So the map is an interesting idea, but unfeasible and not part of the RP.
I.E it doesn't show true A.U.F territory (which is quite large), nor Novan colonies, nor other small areas that everyone claims.
BIC:[Meta]The A.U.F Scouts have not yet been detected. They are probing a bit deeper into MR space to test their limits.[/Meta]

Thats because you haven't drawn the AUF on it, Error hasn't put on the colonies, and other people haven't put on the other small areas because they have none or don't feel like it.Professor Fenway wrote:I.E it doesn't show true A.U.F territory (which is quite large), nor Novan colonies, nor other small areas that everyone claims.
Also, the whole point of the map is to show territory. That whole blob-y thing is territory. If we marked actual systems we kept presence in, they'd be collections of dots not blobs.
And maps are just that - maps. If you want to know strength, ask them. I'm sure anyone'd be more than happy to show off their e-peen.
And also also and, show me a dispute over the current map that was overtly so.

Re: Where we Left Off [RP TITAN]
[meta]Several psionically cloaked ships have been detected probing MR space via flux scanners. (OOC: remember, they were made to counter any form of non-specialized psionic stealth) They are being actively monitored but not engaged to prevent the information of the MR possessing flux detection from becoming available - or at least easy to figure out - to the unidentified invador. Orders are to shoot them down should they come into scanning distance of secret or otherwise sensible stuff. Resulting explosions will be blamed on weapon calibration tests should anyone ask.
Psionic warfare ships have also detected the psionic influence of the Macai and are actively countering it now.[/meta]

Re: Where we Left Off [RP TITAN]
OOC: The issue with that is that the flux scanners, if they could detect the Strigiforme stealth system, could also detect the Strigiforme. They're not exactly merely 'hiding' the signature. They're draining it into the Strigiforme tree (though they don't know that-just that they're draining the signature into the Strigiforme). I'll allow, however, you seeing them on the basis that some flux escapes due to the systems being used to drain the signature.

[meta]Production has started on new weapons using Strigiforme yttrium techniques combined with psionic energy, using Novan energy weapons as a platform.

You know Ytrrium isn't some super power booster, right? It's just another way to do stuff.

Yes, I do.

And ypu're aware the only energy weapons given to the Zuguthalani were Fusion Lances, which don't scale up or down well? As in, give it more power, it just shorts out. Tim Taylor Technology does not apply here.

Not the Zuguth, the Macai. Who have received decent amounts of Strigiforme weaponry, and SDI military development assistance which includes a checklist of basic components like shields and lasers.

Re: Where we Left Off [RP TITAN]
Well, in that case, the Macai wouldn't have any Novan energy weapons.
Strig have their own weapons, and don't use the Novans' -> Strig supply the Macai -> Macai get only Strig weapons -> No other weapons get to the Macai.

Re: Where we Left Off [RP TITAN]
The Macai have only Zuguthian worlds.
Except for the core planet, ever other place has had the MR military sniffing around before them.
There is litterally no reason any major energy weapon given to the Zuguthians by Novus would even end up with the Macaians, even if somehow it was left behind despite being a ship-mounted weapon.

Ever heard of a thing called the black market?
The Followers of Macai don't care much where they get their resources from, or how they get them.

Re: Where we Left Off [RP TITAN]
You realize no Novan weapons get to the black market? Small military, less resources, easier to track. And all Novan equipment is techlocked anyhow (SOP for everyone, essentially).
Plus, even the Novans don't get parts of the physics behind fusion lances; they're originally Aurelian designs, remember, so they're a bit underpowered compared to the original versions.
