The NeoRoman ship Charon, normally guarding Vortex Station, has jumped in the middle of the attacking fleet in Strigiforme Territory and has projected an extremely large, extremely strong shield around the remnants of the fleet, cutting it off from the Strigiforme forces. L. Jahgrin has messaged the fleet directly, warning them to "Stand down" and leave immediately. Charon has refused to bring the shield down until the fleet exits Strigiforme territory.

What attacking stigiforme fleet? Do you mean the fleet in my system? I haven't sent out any fleets to attack anyone yet, only to defend my planet and to bulk up at the borders.

The Strigiforme forces in their own territory, protecting the lives of billions of Strigiforme refuse to stand down. The few ships remaining of the Hexalani fleet are heavily damaged, and the Strigiforme do not understand why the Charon is defending the aggressors here.

Basically: Charon surrounded the aggressors (Hexalani, CCCP, whoever it is) in a shield (impenetrable, mind you, on both sides like super shield) and is telling them to get out. In a public broadcast. And they won't bring down the shield until they leave.

The Strigiforme have surrounded the Charon's shield with their own super shield to prevent the enemy from escaping, and have issued a request for the enemy to stand down and surrender to the Strigiforme.

It's like you think you can just walk into the most heavily guarded place in the galaxy and take your diplomats out from under a very sealed super shield. Even if it was open, you'd be stopped way out in the system, and then forced to go through the vast and entangled bureaucracy to get them out. Also, the NeoRoman shield is surrounded by a super shield, which blocks all forms of transit in every way ever.

NeoRoman's have solved that, basically;

Their FTL drives operate very, very differently (thanks to super-heresy ARK technology). They're Quantum Tunneling drives. You're right; the ships have no chance getting through the shield at all, in any fashion, classically. The tunneling drive works by placing the ship in an extremely high energy state which is extremely unstable, yet there is no possible way it could normally remove that energy normally. It can do so, however, if the entire ship simultaneously flipped itself to a new location while bleeding off a lot of energy. Nothing is ever effectively in transit- it simply appears on the other side, surmounting all possible barriers ever conceivable.

I'll remove the battleships, but the leaders are still leaving. They were Tunneled out using a similar (but shorter range) method.

I think the shields would absorb the energy that is passing through. Energy can't just disappear, nor can it just reappear. That's basic physics, and even quantum tunneling can't pierce the shields.

The MR has released a statement on the forces inside Strigiforme territory and the CCCP the Strigiforme are currently at war with:
It identifies the force in Strigiforme territory attacking their planets as a "rogue group" according to their intelligence and further criticizes the Empire's - especially the Hexalani - inability to ensure the loyalty of their forces and repress the creation of splinter groups.
The MR is staying neutral in this conflict as of now, as the chaotic situation after the Empire's depatrure to WLM has resulted in uncertainty about the actual involvement of the CCCP in the current situation.
