"I told you, it's just a sensor malfunction. They happen now and then." He'd been at this station far longer than Jacx, and was quite confident he know how his sensors worked.

"Well I'm going to check it out anyways." Jacx left the small room for the docking port, where a shuttle resided, an orange shuttle, the shuttle he had taken from the carrier to the station some time ago. The small ship took would take its sweet time getting to the 'malfunction', which was also, but barely, being picked up by the shuttle's systems. "You sure it's an error? Because the shuttle's picking it up too." The radio replied with a simple grunt of annoyance.

Arriving at a distance where he should have visual contact, there was none to be had, which meant it was an error after all. Taking a quick tap to the sensor display, it was no longer there. Damn, well, at least he wouldn't have to file a report.

The AI after several minutes of near rhenium boiling calculations, It has decided the best course of action would be extreme isolation and a complete re-working of the construction system this of course would take a fairly long time.

Local economy continues booming from Draco colonies. Experts declare the empire in a golden age of exploration and economic advancement.
A number of independent system governments near Tajer borders have declared bankruptcy and are asking the council for help, critics claim government tampering, others claim economic pressure from the Tajer Republic.

Many systems bordering against Hexalan are currently being expanded into. When pressed with claims that certain systems hosted small, independent empires, no response was given. The systems are, for the most part, set to host to large-scale resourcing operations [meta]and a lot of mines. The explode-y kind.[/meta]

"Suul, the other fleet is calling us" the communications officer sent the message to Suul.

"Thank you, Commander, for your kind offer. I allow you to tow the Satoshi to the location you have in mind," Suul said, thinking Wherever this might be.
He then went to his quarters, in hope to get some rest. The last time he slept was before the jump, nearly 27 hours ago. When he entered the cabin he noticed, that the light was on and it smelled different. There were some persons who had admission to enter his room at any given time, especially: "Icho, you're on all fours again!"
Icho was a Gurrad, a species which was encountered by the Mehandor many years ago and were now an ally of them. Icho was a Telepath and a very good one too. Suul knew, that he didn't have to speak to Icho, as he already knew, what Suul wanted to say, but he did it anyways, as it made him feel more confident. Icho always had a very cool and clear of speaking with Suul: "Suul, nice to see you, I see you've been busy, I'm sorry to intrude into your apartment, but I wanted to speak with you."
"What is it?"
"As you know we Gurrads are very vulnerable to such shocks as the transgalactic jump, we just did. I'm lucky, that I am awake again, but some of us are still not responsive. This is why I can not recommend to do another jump, until we are all awake and have at least one week of rest."
"I understand that, and I can assure you, that we won't do another jump in the next few months."
"I see, thank you, Suul, I'm going to my cabin if you seek me. Oh, and by the way, your dinner is here in two minutes."
Suul smiled, Icho had ordered something to eat, when they were talking. ANd he was right, the robot, who brought the meal was there two minutes later.

Name: Gurrads

Habitat: Terran planets

Anatomy: They look a bit like black panthers, walk on four legs, but have small "arms" where there would normally be an ear, well, the "arm" is the ear, with muscles in it and a small hand at it's end. They also have a hand at their tail.


Life Cycle: Infany 1-6 years, Childhood 6-10 years, adolescence 10-20 years, max lifespan 180 years, avg. 160

Diet: They mainly eat meat, however, they can also eat plants, but their mouth is made to kill their prey and then eat it.

Psychology: They are very focused on achieving their goals, are mostly lone wolfs, are equipped with a psionic ability (Close range teleporting, telekinesis, telepathy), however, this makes them very vulnerable to sudden shocks of any art.

Culture: There is not much known about their culture, as they didn't record their past, and are as a nation very quiet. What is known, is that they live inside an artificial moon, which was not built by them. They seem to believe in a superior being, the one, which built their homeworld. However many modern Gurrads are very unreligious.

Social Structure: The biome in which they developed was very small, so they grew together and developed new technologies, until the Mehandor found them and gave them the ability to leave their cage. Today they live without a law, but with an unwritten moral code. If somebody wants to build, develop, change something he can try to convince others to help him.

The first scouts report that the jump-gate leads to the Phoenix Dwarf galaxy, and have detected no signs of sentient life so far, but plenty of habitable planets. [meta]Because the MR uses its psionic sensors as an early warning system, the scouts remain undetected, as the psionic jump scanners are, while capable of detecting them, quite ineffective against unmanned vessels, such as the robotic ARK-forces, therefore their stealth keeps the MR sensors from picking up anything.[/meta]

[Extra Meta] As it jumped around, the ARK force was trailed by a Prowler; a Prowler bedecked with the recurring marking of a silver delta, overlaid by a golden aquila. [/Extra Meta]

The patrol group tractored the vessel and jumped to a Tajer capital military station where it was placed in a drydock bay.
A maintenance crew guided a boarding rack to the side of the ship.

[EXTRA META]The ARK scout force, seemingly spooked, has jumped back to Novan space. Meanwhile, the larger force at ARK-1's former location has established a beachhead, with several defensive stations and a large jump-gate on the way, to pave the way for the main force. Multiple detector-pylons are established around the perimeter[/EXTRA META]

"Suul, we have the results of the past our of our analysis," it was the voice of Lokt, the second communications officer, "it seems, that the news of our arrival has been spreading, multiple nations are sending diplomats, who want to speak to us. However, that's about it, this is a military outpost, so we don't hear a lot of what is happening in this galaxy, most of the transmissions are encrypted."
"Thanks, Lokt, I was planning on doing a trip outside the ship, but don't forget, if you find something useful, just contact me."
"Alright, Suul."

Suul and his friends met at airlock 3-54-2. Icho was already there, waiting for the others. Before Suul arrived there, another Gurrad suddenly appeared, right next to Icho, it was Roa, a female Gurrad and a friend of Icho. Roa was a teleporter, she was able to teleport to any given point within 10km. Suul went ahead and greeted them, first Roa, then Icho. The last one to arrive was Koltor. Koltor was a Mehandor guard, the representative of Suul and his best friend. The air outside of the ship was breathable for them, although it could contain a higher amount of oxygen. As the four friends steeped out of the airlock, the Mehandor immediately started to feel like they just climbed on a big mountain. They had to make deeper breaths, in order to keep their current level of oxygen. Of course, this would be no issue in a few hours inside their new atmosphere, as their bodies would adapt, however it was a bit annoying.
Many people looked at the small group, that was advancing towards a conference room. But Icho was sensing no danger, no trap, no one who hated foreigners. As they entered the room they saw, that there were already a lot of people there.
"I hope we're not late." Suul said with a bit stronger mental impulse, than usually, as he didn't know if their minds were build to receive telepathic impulses.
(The language of the Mehandor is understood by every being, which has a biological brain, as it activates associations of the brain, which means, that the one who "hears" the language knows, what the talker wants to express.)
