Theta made a grab for a few power cells and a jigsaw blade, carefully reattaching the jigsaw blade into the concealed mechanism on his wrist, then fashioning the power cell into a heater unit using some spare parts from the energy weapons, making sure to pick up a pulse SMG from the racks.

Everyone, pick up whatever the hell you want, we should be able to blow our way through the bulkhead, and get the hell out of here.

Tyr glided over to the plasma rifles, taking care to chose the one he knew was of Strigiforme make. He then strode over to the attachments and grabbed a plasma bayonet and some power cells. As he walked over to the rest, he stopped and grabbed a few grenade belts and filled them with an assortment of explosive treats.

Elias, looking over the weapons, spied a plasma SMG. He grabbed it and 8 power cells, 2 HE grenades, and a gauss pistol. He also grabbed chest body-armor. He also said,"We should grab a headset each guys, just in case." He said this as he grabbed a radio and a headset. After thinking a moment, he grabbed a spare power cell for the robots and a repair kit. He then stood with everyone else, waiting for a consensus on what to do next.

334 activated a repair drone that was docked at one of the stations. It repaired the damaged frame of his arm and welded the microfractures. After this was done, it began doing basic level maintenance. Several malfunctioning power couplings were replaced, as well as small electronics upgrades for his control systems. It could do no more, but the change was immense. 334 was able to fully power his plasma cannon, and he was also able to bring several other weapon systems online. After scanning the racks, he found what he needed- Gauss ammunition, several Plasma power cells, and a small shield generator. He attached the shield generator to a spare hardpoint inside him and connected the Plasma cells to empty conduits. He could now project a shield, but to bring it to full strength meant he would have to shut everything else off. And he still didn't trust many of his systems.

As he finished configuring the generator, his now-fully powered sensors detected something. It was mechanical in nature and sub-sonic. After it stopped, he continued to listen. He then detected... something. He couldn't identify it. It did not persist. "A bulkhead has opened."

"What? Why would they open a bulkhead?" Elias asked.

"Maybe it's other prisoners," Larson suggested.

"Location is 500 meters away."

"We go there. We may find an exit there, and it would be easier than cutting through our own," Theta said.

Elias was still a little spooked after his imaginary sounds, even though they weren't real. He thought he had heard something through the walls at the same time that 334 had said the bulkhead had opened. As he loaded his SMG and pistol, he said,"I don't like this at all guys. I say we head in the other direction of that bulkhead. Just a cautionary statement." After he said this, he lapsed into a thoughtful silence, waiting for a response.

Theta say something move in the shadows in one of the corridors leading off, it was probably another prisoner, but for the sake of the others he decided to check it out, if it was a prisoner, if it wouldn't harm him now, but it could get the drop on the others.

"Guys, I'm just going to check something out, keep going, don't mind me"

Theta turned off down the corridor, SMG raised.

Something moved, it was like the shadow itself was moving

Theta edged closer
"Who's there"

There felt something in the back of his mind, as if someone was reaching around in there

A red light lit up in the shadow
No, two

They raised off the floor, moving all the way to the ceiling, they took a shape, two sharp triangles, a design feature common to the N.S.C.D.

It bellowed, the only sound that could scare Theta, the noise of the war machine thy had maimed him so during the NSCD Frestorian war, but it was impossible that such a machine could be here, Theta would have sensed it an astral unit off

But Theta couldn't think about this, his mind was paralysed with fear, this was the result of a severe trauma in the past
If he had been thinking straight, he would have noticed that the thing actually can out of nowhere, and that it hesitated to attack him, he would have also remembered how to avoid it.

But Theta could not think this, all he could do is stare, at what was doing a bloody good impression of his worst nightmare, the MK-IV Lamentor war machine

The Lamentor, no, the... thing, bellowed again, and charged Theta, grabbing a hold of his head with its extending claw, and tearing it from his body, then throwing it away like a spoilt child

Theta didn't survive long enough to see it dissolve back into the shadows.

OOC: ok I think I might as well explain abou Nightmare, first of all, it is not a Lamentor, all you need to know, is that it is similar to the black smoke from lost, except it can't hurt you while in it's shadow form, it chooses to emulate your worst nightmare in order to kill you

Oh, and Theta just died, everyone else heard it, I would panic and run if I were then
And don't worry about subject zero, that's my next character

334 heard Theta's death. He instantly strained all sensors to find something. Everything was off the charts- He couldn't make any sense of it. But it only meant one thing.

"Priority -900 Alert," he said. "Code Gamma Emergency- Threat level 9999999999999999999999999.9...9..." he stuttered off, then continued. "Massive Dark Matter presence." 334 began backing away. "Paradox alert." Without waiting for the others, 334 bolted. He soon disappeared from everyone's view, despite their attempt to follow him.

OOC: As revealed, 334 hates dimensional anomalies.

Elias flipped out (not scared, just startled and a bit confused). He yelled at Gunner to cease fire. Gunner didn't here him though, so Elias grabbed him by the shoulder and dragged him toward the way that 334 had gone. He paused to throw a grenade down the hallway, and that was it. When it exploded, Gunner finally stopped firing. Elias said,"We're on our own for now. I suggest we run and find a defensible position or an exit. And I would prefer if we do that quickly. Then he and Gunner started running.

Right, I may as well introduce my next character

Name: Subject zero (Zero)
Age: 2-3 months
Species: Heavily modified Scytherian
Would look something like this:
Spoiler:
Image
Backstory
Spoiler:
The Scytherians were a race of sentient reptilian beings that resided on the planet now known as FTG-42, more commonly known as skythar, however, the race was rather small, and the entire population was wiped out when a Frestorian portal opened, during the NSCD Frestorian wars, and the settlement was devastated before any of the NSCD, NeoRome or Strigiforme could get any forces to the scene. A team of UGF scientists began researching the Scytherians, and found something astonishing, they did no communicate by audible or visual means, they rather communicated by a form of telepathy. A Scytherian was cloned, with the goal of replicating its psychic abilities, and perhaps enhancing them, this is the project that preceeded project nightmare. Subject zero, or "zero" was heavily modified, and was equipped with various implants, including a very unique component, discovered in the body of a deceased NSCD command unit that had died following a crash land on a wasteland planet. Subject zero showed promising signs, until a new technology rendered him obsolete, and he was placed into cryosleep, while the scientests developed the Nightmare that roams Outpost 19 now
Traits: possesses great psychic power, but does not know how to use it
Personality: rather child like, scientists infused him with a knowledge of the UGF, but Zero does not fully understand this

Zero found himself in a glass tube, he could see a scientist frantically typing in a panicked manner, he wondered why.
He thought he would see what the problem is, he placed his hands on the glass, the scientist saw this, and began typing faster.

Zero felt the thing on his head make that noise again, and he felt a shock wave flow from his head, down through his shoulders, along his arms and out through his fingertips.

The glass shattered

The scientist screamed, and pulled out a pistol, frantically firing at Zero

Zero wondered what he was doing, and why he was making so much noise.
A bullet clipped his arm, it hurt, a lot, the scientist was trying to hurt him, this made zero angry.

The thing on his head started whirring, Zero pointed a finger at the scientist, who was now out of ammo, and felt an intense bolt of lightning, jump from Zero to the scientist.

The scientist slumped to the floor, but Zero felt tired, he could no longer stand, and collapsed on the ground.

"What is happening" Zero asks himself

"I didn't try to hurt him, why did he hurt me?"

OOC: ok, so I have to try and revive this:

BIC:
Zero awoke from his unscheduled nap, the thing on his head had stopped making any noise.

He noticed the thing the scientist was using to try an hurt him, he picked it up.

"What is this?" Zero thought

"A weapon" a voice inside Zero's head replied

"Wh-what?!?"

"Sorry, should have introduced myself, I am Phi, the scientists didn't realise I was still in here when they implanted me in you, but then again, I was rather dead"

"H-how are you talking to me?"

"I am probably integrated in your neural network, but I am too weak to do anything other than speak to you, but I do know a lot, for instance, the people on the other side of that door want to hurt you"

"Why?"

"I don't know, but I senses the death of one of my brethren nearby, which is what woke me up, if they are responsible for that, you have a big problem"

"What can I do?!?" Zero asked, panicking, aloud

"If you relax your body, I can take control, but not for long"

Zero relaxed his body, he felt the thing on his head, was this Phi? slowly warm up, that warmth slowly crept throughout his body, turning him numb.

Three guards broke down the door, Zero wanted to run, but his body, no, Phi would not let him.

Phi calmly raised Zero's right arm, and slotted two of the guards before they made it through the door, the third ducked back behind, Phi shot a bullet through the wall, which zipped through the wall, and through the guards frontal lobe.

"There, sorted" Zero heard Phi say

"Now what?" Zero asked

"I need to find out what happened to my brother, I know where he died, I'll tell you the way"

OOC: in case anyone is confused, Phi (AKA, Prototype from the grounded RP a while ago) was left dormant inside a very unique component, which was discovered, and implanted into Zero, Theta was a "brother" of Phi, and Theta's death signal was enough to reawaken Phi, and was what activated Zero

Tyr had gone down an adjacent hallway after Theta was eliminated, knowing that the larger group of prisoners would be more likely to be followed. He was slowly making his way to an unexplored part of the Outpost, finding fresher corpses and a few still alive prisoners, who he quickly dispatched.

No witnesses.

Tyr knew the Outpost had no FTL capable craft, but if he could get to the Comms station and send a signal to have the Outpost bombarded from orbit and get himself picked up, he could return to his brothers and help liberate his fellow owls, and perhaps one day return to Strigiforme space.

With these goals in mind, Tyr kept walking, passing a sign labeled "Restricted block, high security"

334 stopped in front of a bulkhead. It was open. He didn't sense any Dark Matter nearby, so whatever that 'thing' was probably didn't follow him. This was good.

What was not good is that he lost the other prisoners. They weren't his priority, however. His priority, as defined by his last standing orders, were to protect the facility from both outside and inside threats. Which meant that thing had to be destroyed. 334 began cutting through the bulkhead with his plasma cannon as he analyzed the situation. As defined by the last logs, the thing had acted upon his AI matrix. It seemed to act on fear. Given this, it could easily be defeated.

That is, if the thing battling it could not feel fear. But that was impossible. The replacement AI for him could fulfill that, as it would not be sentient as he is. But 334 had no way of knowing where it is, nor if it's even here. But he decided it needed to be found. The bulkhead, at this point, broke apart. 334 stepped through the hole. He scanned the corridor- High Security Research, Restricted Access. In fact, it was the same hallway Tyr had passed through just minutes prior, as the Bulkhead had shut behind Tyr. 334 detected several fresh corpses, and a very powerful energy pulse emanating from two floors down. Someone had just been here, and something was downstairs. 334 approximated the energy pulse to be psionic in nature. After checking to make sure everything else was normal, he headed down the hallway.

OOC: I will be bringing 334's replacement in, Unit 340, at some point in a ship. A ship that crashes after it is attacked by the malfunctioning automated defenses.

Name: Unit 340

Species: Robotic AI- NeoRoman Industries Model 8890-A

Age: 12 Standard Years

Backstory: Unit 340 is an upgraded model of the 8872-C series. Aging problems in the 8872-C and the lack of reliable hardware led NeoRoman Industries to create the 8890-A. It is much more resilient than the 8872-C. Armor has been traded off for a Plasma Barrier Generator, Self-Repair nanites, and more powerful motor and power systems. It's lifespan before age destroys it is considerably higher. It is, however, much more expensive. 340 is not sentient in it's own regard, though it possesses the same reasoning functions as the 8872-C series. It is a considerable foe. 340 was constructed for shipping to Outpost 19 at the end of 334's useful lifetime, but command structure problems prevented the model from being shipped for nearly 12 years.

Traits: 340 is not sentient, and therefore does not feel emotion. It is also considerably more powerful and resilient than the 334, though this comes at a price of reduced armor and higher power requirements.

Personality: 340 is cold and calculating. It possesses higher reasoning functions than 334, but this is in part due to the lack of sentience and emotion.

Role: (prisoner or guard) Replacement Guard
