The Zuguthian military has sent an army consisting mainly of advanced military androids and AI tanks to assist Hexalan troops in the defense.
Also included are several non-robotic officers, tacticians and special forces, personnel vehicles, VTOLs and military android field manufacturers.
Research on new variants of military androids has begun on the TTI research planet.

[meta]Planetary garrisons are under standing order to detonate their Flieghedt Nets.[/meta]
OOC: A Flieghedt Net is a series of high-yield nuclear warheads placed in strategic locations which will at the least render the crust one big crater, and at worst tear the planet apart. It is a last resort of sorts, the ultimate area of denial, make the enemy's sacrifices in vain.

OOC, what the shit, ACH? Those bunkers were melted shut and had part of a mountain collapsed on them. I hope you don't mind waiting for the cultists to dig their way out.

No, there was one that was sealed and never found. Give me a second to find the post.

Wait, nvm, Fen hacked and found it. Either way, they have had several years to excavate a door.

I think most people agree it has been 2-4 years. Stauros got built, Ringworld got built, mini-ARK got built.Admiral Irrational wrote:It may have been 95 pages ago, but Hexalan hasn't had the NeoRoman upgrades for more than a few months.ACH0225 wrote:This was almost a hundred pages ago. Re: Where we Left Off[RP SUPER-THREADNOUGHT]
It was never known exactly why it disappeared, and how it had vanished for so long was a mystery that had baffled the greatest minds in the galaxy.
For years it's location had been unknown, despite all the eyes carefully watching for it, nobody had caught either sight or sound of it for over a century. Many believed it was lost forever, obliterated by some unknown agent. Others believed it was being concealed for reasons unknown. When it disappeared there has been panic among the nations, for such a thing to simply vanish was simply incredible. However after time talk of it had died down, and it became a myth among the younger denizens of the galaxy.
But contrary to popular speculation, it continued to exist. Sleeping away in some unknown corner of the galaxy like a dormant Titan, waiting to be relieved of it's long slumber.
Somewhere deep within ARK-1, a device counted down to 0. It began emitting bursts of radiation, sending impulses down particular pathways within the ARK itself, running power through dusty old cables that had not seen action for over a century, kick starting the loag process to wake the titanic machine from it's deep sleep.
One of those pathways simply connected to a single machine residing on the surface of the ARK, kick starting it's systems and forcing it to awaken.
The machines eyes flickered as power was restored. Old servos whined as they struggled with the things weight as it tried to lift it's own head from the floor. Sensors and cameras came online and the old machine saw it's first sight in over a century. Artificial nano fibre muscles began to contract, giving the machine enough power to pick itself up from the floor.
Omega stood up, gazing up at the stars as he asked questions that not a soul in the galaxy could answer.
Well, save for one.
:::END:::
OOC:
Describe your empire: Robots
Any notable tech: Super advanced AI, the original ARK station. Advanced anti-ARK weaponry. Near invincible death robots.
If you empire was a tree, what would it be: a shrubbery

"We received a response, and sent one of our own."
"That's good. Right?"
"It was, until they left us hanging, yet again. There seems to be a single point they refuse to discuss."
"And what point might that be?"
"That their loss is their fault."

Re: Where we Left Off[RP SUPER-THREADNOUGHT]
Aiigaiion drops shield, and is kill. Shipyards in Strigiforme space begin constructing a new one.
Council to Ringworld
"How is the weather over there? Storms over Vyythi(region on Cuuyth), but it'll clear up soon."
On Ringworld
"Commander, we have received the order. Message has confirmation and encoded information."
"Enter them. Prepare to activate."
"As you command. Start up sequence engaged. All star activity reads normal, good to fire. Computer has the guidance calculations, all systems primed and ready."
"Fire."
The star the Ringworld surrounded developed a small bulge near the northern pole. The bulge grew, like an unsightly wart, making a sphere connected by only a hair to the star. The sphere of hot fusion and plasma was encased in a special magnetic barrier, still being fed by the source star. The magnetic barrier began to emit white light, and radiation on all spectrums as it and it's contents were slowly displaced from this dimension to another. Still under the Ringworld's control, the sphere moved rapidly across the other dimension, though it covered no distance relevant to ours, only speed. The sphere then reappeared where it had been prior, then turned red and disappeared due to the fact that it was going faster than light. It remained, even as it traveled, under the control of the Ringworld. As it approached a major Hexalani system, a tiny tweak by the Ringworld brought it down in speed. It approached the world slower and slower, down to a measly 1/10 the speed of light, then slower, going slightly faster than the planet's speed. Then, it impacted the world.
The magnetosphere held it, for a nanosecond. The vast ball of fusion and plasma was far too much, and it passed through. The fusion seared the atmosphere, then the crust, then the core itself was heated to a gaseous form. The magnetic guidance from the Ringworld cut out, and the plasma and fusion expanded to cover what limited orbital infrastructure there was, and the fleet protecting the planet before fading out. After, there was nothing left but some clumps of space debris, and a great mass of dust.
One of your major manufacturing worlds was just kill. Surrender yet?

"Confirmed. It was a massive thermonuclear explosion; think Nova beam, but turned up to eleven."
"The hell? How did they manage that without a ship there to guide it?"
"Two options. Stauros generated and fired the pulse via FTL - unlikely, as it seems to only fire Stauros radiation - or another, similarly sized or larger cpntruct did the same."
"Barrage Cannon?"
"The ringworld." came a quiet voice from the corner.
"You what?
"The ringworld. It was built around a star, yes? Simple enough to draw off some stellar mass and toss it through hyperspace. Or YFTL. Whichever."

The Strigiforme barrage cannon(s), ringworld, and Cuuyth have been targeted by the Sword of Damocles.

Novan military vessels have been organized into war fleets and sent to rally points. Nova Ascendant has returned from the shipyards, fitted with a very-early prototype Subspace Energy Director.

The Lord of Admirals watched up until the recording playing on the holoscreen faded to static.
"Have they released their updated terms yet?"
"No ma'am, but I do believe this," he pointed at the screen, "was supposed to make us surrender."
For a moment, silence. But then, laughter.
"Are our planets not what they are fighting over? I mean, how can one own a system with nothing in it? Regardless, if Stauros and the Barrage Cannons weren't enough, this weapon, the one that did and can do this, will surely bring about retribution from the other factions. Contact the MQR first, they've always been hot for ethics and morality."
<:.\ Transmission To The Mobian Republic \.:>
At [time], the Strigiforme unleashed a weapon capable of firing on and completely obliterating a planet with no prior warning and no current way of stopping it. We ask you to diplomatically confront the Strigiforme regarding this weapon, as already they have far too many superweapons, especially with such a large and formidable military already at their disposal. For evidence regarding this weapon, you may check the location of our Manufactorum Bajakx, which you will find is nowhere to be found. This weapon as well as their others pose a serious threat to the galaxy at large, and potentially even other galaxies should this not be its full extent.
<:.\ End \.:>
Messages identical to this have been sent to the AUF and Novan Commonwealth.
[meta]2 more rounds of T/S warheads are prepared for firing at Command's discretion.[/meta]
