Most of the colony worlds in Andromeda have been settled and mostly developed; defenses are being put into place.
Aquaria's surface is still being prepared; ETC 5 months 30 days.
Plans for a second forge world, likely the Andromeda colony of Kharak, have been laid, but kept on hold.
[Meta] Research into various weapons has turned up the possibility of a directed subspace beam; likely a capital-ship-only device, the thoeries state is would open a subspace rift and direct the resulting energy at a target. Unpredicatable and chaotic. Research continues.[/meta]

[Meta] A raid on a NeoRoman facility on a world controlled by the Strigiforme revealed the existence of a second inter-galactic jump gate somewhere in the core systems and linked by the energy network. Ships are following the old network of pylons in an attempt to find this gate.
Shield-phasing warheads have been successfully developed, and production of them has commenced. This will, however, strain AUF Antimatter supplies. [/meta]
//AUF News\\
The AUF is sending out scout and colony ships all over, seeking to expand it's territory.

Re: Where we Left Off[RP THREADNOUGHT]
The Commonwealth has recently begun widespread programs to recruit new AIs; in other words, looking for citizens who are willing to forego their organic bodies in exchange for residing inside the NC quantum computer network.
On the same note, all of the AIs crippled by the Strigiforme have been returned to function.
Plans for a massive series of integrated supercomputers and quantum filaments and processors have been added to the Aquaria design. The planet will serve a secondary purpose as a hub for the "Uploaded", or citizens uplifted to the quantum network.

Re: Where we Left Off[RP THREADNOUGHT]
Strigiforme border forces have continued their buildup, though none have moved into foreign borders. [meta]The Stauros has been tugged to a new system, still deep in the Strigiforme Empire, and now under constant guard by multiple fleets. The Stauros' super shield systems have been replaced, and its' armour is undergoing the lengthy process of reconstruction. The second Barrage Cannon has finished construction, and has received a full stock of warheads. Additionally, the anti psionic virus has been completed, with two produced strains; one, which irreversibly deactivates and removes the gene trigger for psionics with no apparent symptoms, and another which causes no visible effects but develops fatal defects in the heart and brain, specifically the creation of necrotic tissue in the inner atriums of the heart and a defect in the blood-brain barrier. Strains of both have been developed to specifically target humans, Mobians, [Species Name Deleted], and other enemies of the Strigiforme, though there is a low(<1%) risk of interspecies transmission, which is being researched along with other strain types to make deployment easier.[/meta]

== Unmarked Courier Frigate - 11ly From Northeastern Strigiforme Border ==
"Everything looks to be in order, so suit up and get the decoy ready."
"Yeah yeah yeah..." The equestrian muttered to herself as she prepped the small probe. The metal spheroid had a small device attached to it which broadcasts the signature of a ship roughly the size of a corvette. Not an uncommon task for Section 2, but Section 3? We're special warfare, not intelligence acquisition. "All set here. Whenever you're ready!"
"Copy that, on final approach."
Not a minute later, the ship exited FTL for the briefest moment as the anterior door opened, releasing the decoy. As soon as it was clear, the craft spun around and left for the nearest system.
"Now we wait," she spoke in a grim voice.
Meta: They were testing response time on the border, in order to see the viability of another 'carrier' drop.
== Songful Heartwriter ==
Admiral Tharawn dropped onto the barely cushioned seat, exaggerating his sigh.
"Damn shame that is."
"Mourn while you can, we still have no idea when they'll make their move. And I'm not confident we may be able to arm the Expanses in time if they mobilize even half as many ships as they've got lying about."
"We could fake it, make a declaration now instead of then. We'd have more resources to work with anyways. Hell, we could reveal this hunk of metal along with that, the people won't care how we got it as long as it keeps them from their imminent demise," Admiral Riza Hawkeye proposed. Scratchovski nodded.
"Get someone on it, we can't sit around doing nothing forever."
=======
Production of the first batch is nearing completion [meta]with a declaration of emergency, it can be staffed almost immediately[/meta]. Batches are being scheduled with dates reaching into the next decade.
Production of the second batch will be slowed greatly as the destroyed fleets will need to be replaced.

-- ZBC News --
The WLM colonization project is proceeding at a rapid pace, however the relatively low amount of colonies are sparsely populated. On the other hand, the amount of mines and factories, as well as other industry, is steadily increasing, with a total of 5 industrialized systems so far. Shipyards in these systems are reportedly focused on the production of construction ships, to further increase the tempo of the colonization of the galaxy.

Re: Where we Left Off[RP THREADNOUGHT]
A number of ships, very blatantly Novan in design - but bearing unknown markings - have been spotted around the borders of most of the nations in the Draconis, Segmentum, and Serpentis Marches of the galaxy. They appear, make scans, and vanish.

There has recently been rumor of talks between Zuguth and Hexalan. The government of the Expanses has not currently issued any statements regarding this.

Re: Where we Left Off[RP THREADNOUGHT]
The Strigiforme reiterate their demands, and add that they will attack shortly if they are not met. All empires are being formally warned against military assistance to the Hexalani. Shipyard production has reached the maximum safe levels, and older model ships are undergoing basic refurbishments, along with some mothballed ships that are being brought up to semi-modern standards to act as auxiliaries. The SDI has agreed to supply aid to the Strigiforme in any upcoming conflict, with Ryytils and other species' ships bolstering border numbers.

The Lord of Admirals looked over the report. "I've had enough of this, get me a comm link to Riza."
The AI appeared, "Yes, ma'am."
Behind her, the floor-to-ceiling screen which had been projecting an exterior view was replaced with Admiral Hawkeye.
"You called?"
"Do it, now. We can't wait any longer."
The Admiral nodded.
CNBC Broadcast:
After claims of preemptive strikes by SDI forces, the Lord of Admirals has declared a state of emergency. From this point onwards, CNBC is under total martial control. All citizens of the Expanses, your calling has come. Report to your local supply depot to receive assignment and equipment. I wish all of you the best of luck.
Meta-ish: The borders have been 'sealed', exit and entrance is strictly prohibited unless pardoned by the Admiralty, as is the same for communications.
OOC: @Dayn now'd be a very quite good time, if you wouldn't mind.

[Meta]A Novan diplomatic ship has arrived on the Hexalan border; it is transmitting a request to hard-link to a military vessel for a data transfer.[/meta]
Several of the unknown Novan vessels - dubbed "Spectres" by several news stations - have begun deploying dropships of varying origins to the surface of a habitable but uninhabited planet in the Tau Amaris system, 2,430 LY from Sol.

Meta: The Novan ship, after being met by a patrol, has been asked to submit to a search and scan prior to any further action.

The ship has agreed to the scan and search; the ambassador aboard would like to transfer an information capsule with some schematics on it.

Re: Where we Left Off[RP THREADNOUGHT]
aboard the bunker ship:
"Sir, the scientists have finished analysis on the Antioch psi-ops signatures."
"Good, let me see... WHAT?"
-----
MBN News:
The MR has announced a possible psionic threat and has issued psionic savety measures.
The HARMONY psionic superweapon has been put into scanning mode, using its entire power output to actively get information on psionic activity across the galaxy.
Psionic warfare ships have also temporarily been drawn together from across the MR to one force stationed with the Heavy fleet.
In addition, the "Anti-Enerjak staffs", psionic weapons designed to cause a feedback loop to use the powers of psionics against themselves, but appearently ineffective against all but the most powerful psionics recorded in history, have been brought out of the vaults and are being distributed to special forces across MR space.
Details concerning the psionic threat itself however remain classified at this point.

//Message to AUF//
We have analyzed the data we briefly got from your psionic super-soldiers and according to our estimates, their psionic flux levels may reach the "Enerjak-point" within the next few weeks, although due to short observation times, this is quite vague. It is possible that this point might be reached within a few hours or it may not be reached at all, though the latter is unlikely.
Fact is, reaching the enerjak-level of psionic flux is to be avoided.
Here are the symptoms of reaching the Enerjak-level including examples for the powers associated with it:
-Psionic strenght increases drastically, approaching god-like powers.
-All mechanical, biological and psionic control mechanisms fail.
-Strong corruption. Subject will typically attempt to achieve an "idealistic" goal depending on the subject through violent means.
-Near-invulnerability
-Psionic metabolism allows subject to survive in typically deadly environments such as vacuum.
-Long-range teleportation similar to psionic FTL, allowing subject to travel between planets and even systems without ships.
Please note that all these symptoms come into effect instantaneously and simultaneously, so there are unfortunately no known warning signs.
We demand you take actions to either weaken their psionic power so that the Enerjak-point will no longer be approached or eliminate them to keep them from posing a threat to the entire galaxy.
Attached to this message is the data for calculating the enerjak-point and our prognosis.

Re: Where we Left Off[RP THREADNOUGHT]
The Barrage Cannons have begun firing high explosive surgical strikes on major Hexalani shipyards, dry docks, and known military supply depots. Strigiforme forces have yet to move into Hexalani space, but have continued building up on the borders. Super shields have been raised at least partially over all worlds, and planetary garrisons have been out on highest alert.
The Strigiforme offer a chance for peace once more, under the prior offer.
Ringworld completion-75%
Stauros Repair completion-35%
New protocol for firing Barrage Cannon- Move significant distances after each firing to prevent the same mistake from last time.
