1st: You´re not the Taln sovereignity you can´t say they invade anything, thus it is a rumor.

2nd: They have freedom, rights and security. They live their lives more comfortable than people in old-earth US did, even with the right to vote their government. Only non-democratic part of the gov is the Emperor, as he technically sits on his golden throne like the Emperor of Mankind, but it doesn´t consume people. The Emperor would actually be elected as well, but on lifetime and since he doesn´t die anymore...
He does have little power anyway.

3rd: Surpreme Grandmaster Ivan Kintobor holds a press conference in which he says that any rumors of the Taln invading EE space are false. Additional security patrols and communication scans will be made to prevent infiltration.
However, the collected data will only run through a non-sentient AI and then be deleted except if something was found to preserve public privacy.
He also includes in his speech that in the past years, the EE was turned from a totalitarian dictatorship into a fairly democratic government and that it would be foolish to want reformation in such dire times when a new pan-galactic war is about to break out.

Yeah, three of Taln's fleets and elements of Striigiforme's navy are massing on EE's border, but no offensive action has been taken yet. But do bear in mind that rumors can be just as devastating as real events when it comes to loyalty.

I propose we hold off on that theatre of war until we can figure out what the actual outcome of the battle was. Jedi just posted that to be snarky.

Ivan announces that the 3rd flottilla of the Homefleet is going to investigate the heavy rumors about Taln and Strigiforme fleets breaking the borders.
Also, the Dark Presence (see EE-page) has been tasked with finding whoever is infiltrating the EE from within. (they already found that out)

As of today, military elements of the Sovereignty's ally, the Striigiforme, have rendezvoused with the 6th, 9th, and 2nd fleet on the galactic borders of the Eggman Empire. Leaders of the forces arrayed are currently in a meeting to discuss a long-term campaign within EE space. But, a token squadron of vessels appears to be moving fast from within the enemy's borders on an intercept course for the two nation's respective fleets, and according to a first-hand source they are not of Eggman manufacture.

In other news, the first of the two fleets currently under construction above Hiigar has been commissioned as the 7th Special Task Group, with Excelsior class cruiser Dauntless assigned the role of flagship. A commanding officer has yet to be announced, but rumors are abundant about the retired captain Julias Karn has already been reinstated and selected as commodore.
