"JAG? Val? Laura? Anyone receiving? What the hell is going on over there!?" Hexalan nearly dropped the welder as she heard what seemed to be an explosion and gunfire over the radio.

Re: Futurecraft: Macropolitical Personification Iteration #3
Strigiforme felt a strong tug on his wing, possibly dislocating it and pulling him backwards almost a meter. He quickly grabbed another grenade, and set the timer dial on it to a short 2 seconds and to maximum brightness, tossing it behind him and continuing to run. The bright flash almost stunned him, to say nothing of his pursuer. He quickly made a turn, then leapt off a small balcony to enter an atrium, which he promptly fled from and into the maze of corridors that was the ship.

Re: Futurecraft: Macropolitical Personification Iteration #3
There are no features like that in this ship. Imagine the floorplan like a row of long corridors, occasionally broken up with corridors going the opposite direction, with lifts and stairs attached to said opposite facing corridors in the same manner of the normal-ways corridors. The normal corridors have no gaps. When a room is needed, corridors are merged, the doors kept in order to retain full access. If anyone ever finds an armory, I recommend a shotty.ACH0225 wrote:He quickly made a turn, then leapt off a small balcony to enter an atrium, which he promptly fled from and into the maze of corridors that was the ship.

Val, ears ringing loudly, threw another yank towards Strigiforme, then launched herself forward, drawing her sword.
Laura returned Hexalan's call; "Strigiforme is aboard. Valereia is trying to incapacitate him. He attempted to steal JAG's.... box. If you can assist, it would be appreciated. Doors unlcoked, be aware of the vacuum between bulkheads 30 and 46."

@vinyl K, then he sprints/flies really fast in a confusing manner around the corridors
@Error Are you wearing a tac-mask or anything? That was a really bright and loud grenade, you shouldn't be able to focus/have eyes adjusted enough to see him/sense him well enough to grab with any accuracy

Aurelian reflexes; saw a grenade and had 2 seconds to cover her eyes. Can't do much about the hearin', though. Plus, psionics make a handy sixth sense, so she can "see" something moving (given there's nobody else present, it's a tad obvious who it is). But eyes and such.
Also, she hasn't grabbed you, just tried to dislocat, e a wing (twice) and started chasing you with a sword.

Re: Futurecraft: Macropolitical Personification Iteration #3
Bossy copied a map of the surrounding area of the ship to his equipment for navigation and started following the owl, but was stopped when the second grenade went off in front of him.
OOC: for the record, he was able to pursue the owl because he was looking away when the first grenade went off.

Re: Futurecraft: Macropolitical Personification Iteration #3
Covering eyes will only blunt it; even current military stun grenades are bright enough to shine through mere mortal hands. As for psionics, aren't Strig the equivalent of rocks, making them hard to sense without psionic detectable species nearby to compare them to? Either way, loud blasts like that will screw with the fluids/drums in your ears, and disorient you. Strig is feeling it too, but Strigiforme have thicker than average eardrums/fluid-thingys because of frequent pressure changes when flying, and is less affected.
@ivan when did you get here? they are past some sort of super radiation barrier?

Strig is like a spot of nothing against a background of somethings. Imagine it like a cold area on an infrared camera. I think. I'm not the psionic expert here.ACH0225 wrote:Covering eyes will only blunt it; even current military stun grenades are bright enough to shine through mere mortal hands. And since when did you go past the super radiation barrier? Last I checked you were flying out of a cupboard.

Re: Futurecraft: Macropolitical Personification Iteration #3
He also has a point: if I unnerstan' the ship right, Strigiforme would need to pass several irradiated and/or atmosphere-deprived areas to get to this spot.
Also, Vin was spot on: spot of nothing on a background of normal. Also, Val is CNI, and has a personal barrier that blunted (part of) the blast, enpugh to allow continued function.

Strig has shields too, stronker than yours. He wandered around enough until he found a point that his Pipboy said was safe to pass through(for him, for you it was too dangerous.)

OOC:We'll say he took an alternate route which JAG did not see due to hardware failures.
BIC:
JAG, bumping and crashing about in the rucksack, was very displeased. "Strigiforme," he said, slightly angry. "You will return me to where you grabbed me immediately." The box pulsed red. Strigiforme rounded another corner. "Owl, you are approaching Sector seven. Turn back immediately or face the consequences."

Re: Futurecraft: Macropolitical Personification Iteration #3
Strigiforme made a U-turn, attempting to shake off both the angry little thingy(I envision Aurelians as catgirls. Sorry) and to avoid whatever the box was saying he should avoid. After a few minutes of heavy running, dropping a few 4 meter proximity-detected stun-and-flesh-wound grenades, Strigiforme stopped by a bulkhead, removing the cube.
"Comrade cube, why are you talking? Most cubes I have met did not speak."
