iirc you can configure how hard the control surfaces turn when working on the plane. Also capslock activates "sensitive" mode, but you probably already knew that.

Nada, control surfaces shift at a set rate, though you can enable and disable roll/pitch-yaw functions.

And it seems that halving the size of a jet gives you less than half the thrust. Hence the 4 main engines instead of 2.

Current EA variant carries 6 AMRAAMs (exo-atmospheric yes, Spaceborne Operations no). The Prime variant (KAV-302 X) carries 4 AMRAAMs, 2 Sidewinders, 4 Vulcans, 2 boxes of 20mm, countermeasures, and an RCS system. Heavy as shit and maneuvers rather slow in-atmo. Fast, though.

Error: Railguns with HE shells defeat the point of railguns, and that is no propellant.

Hm? I fail to see how the projectile in question exploding upon contact with the target defeats the point of a rail launch system.

Pretty little point in using a railgun (which has the primary point of high muzzle velocity) if you're just gonna use HE rounds.
The only reasonable ammo for railguns (that can actually use its advantages) is kinetic energy penetrators.
like maaaybe some ridiculous-range artillery system could reasonable combine railguns and HE ammo, but for all purposes possible within BDarmory, HE-railguns make no sense.
